m. 220. At Preston in Amoundernes, on Monday next after the Nativity of the Blessed Mary, 11 Henry VIII. [10 September, 1519].
Between James Worseley, Thomas Worseley, Otwell Worseley, and Matthew Standissh, plaintiffs, and Thomas Pemberton deforciant of the manor of Londmerhede [Lamberhead] with the appurtenances, and of 6 messuages, 200 a. of land, 20 a. of meadow, 60 a. of pasture, 6 a. of wood, and 10s. of rent in Londmerhede, Pemberton, Wygan, Orell, and Wynstanley.

Thomas Pemberton remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of James, for which the plaintiffs gave him £40.

Between James Worsley, Thomas Worseley, clerk, Otwell Worseley, and Matthew Standissh, plaintiffs, and John Pemberton and Alice his wife deforciants of a messuage, 30 a. of land, and 4 a. of meadow in Pemberton.

John and Alice, for themselves and the heirs of Alice remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of James, for which the plaintiffs gave them £40.

m. 214. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 11 Henry VIII. [19 March, 1520].
Between Richard Lassels and Michael Clerkson, plaintiffs, and Robert Neville, the younger, and Alice his wife deforciants of the manor of Symondstone, with the appurtenances, and of 16 messuages, 60 a. of land, 200 a. of meadow, 400 a. of pasture, 600 a. of moss, 200 a. of turbary, and 12s. of rent in Symondstone and Brodeholden in the parish of Aslyngden [Haslingden].

Robert and Alice, for themselves and the heirs of Alice, remitted all right to Richard and Michael and to the heirs of the said Richard, for which Richard and Michael gave them £100.

m. 211. Monday next after the Assumption, 12 Henry VIII. [19 August, 1520].
Between Thomas Bothe, esq., plaintiff, and Nicholas Haryngton and Anne his wife deforciants of 12 messuages, 200 a. of land, 40 a. of meadow, 100 a. of pasture, 2 a. of wood, and 500 a. of moss in Cartmell, Haconsall [Hackensall], Presoll [Preesall], Steynolff [Stainall], and Dalton in Fournes [Furness].

Nicholas and Anne remitted all right to Thomas and his heirs, for which Thomas gave them £100.

m. 209. [19 August, 1520].
Between Roger Ugnall, Andrew Barton, Richard Pylkyngton, Richard Worthyngton, and Alexander Strete, plaintiffs and Robert Ugnall deforciant of 4 messuages, 26 a. of land, 2 a. of meadow, and 10 a. of wood in Coppull, Chorley, and Eccleston.

Robert Ugnall acknowledged the said tenements to be the right of Andrew, for which the plaintiffs granted them to the said Robert Ugnall. To have and to hold to the said Robert for his life, after his decease to remain to the heirs males of the body of the said Roger, in default to remain to the right heirs of the said Robert Ugnall for ever.

m. 205. [19 August, 1520].
Between Thomas Hesketh, esq., plaintiff, and Edward Ryssheton and Margaret his wife deforciants of 8 messuages, 30 a. of land, 10 a. of meadow, and 12 a. of pasture in Croston, Euxston, Wrightyngton, and Wygan.

Edward and Margaret remitted all right to Thomas and his heirs, for which Thomas gave them £10.

m. 203. Monday in the fifth week of Lent, 12 Henry VIII. [18 March, 1521].
Between Edward Molyneux, clerk, and William Molyneux, kt., plaintiffs, and John Swyfte and Anne his wife deforciants of a third part of a messuage, 50 a. of land, 10 a. of meadow, 20 a. of pasture, and 6 a. of wood in Mellyng in the parish of Halsall.

John Swyfte and Anne, for themselves and the heirs of Anne, granted that the said third part, which John Heyton held for the term of his life of the inheritance of the said Anne on the day this agreement was made, after the decease of the said John Heyton should remain to the said Edward and William and to the heirs of the said Edward for ever, for which Edward and William gave them £40.

m. 200. [18 March, 1521].
Between Edward Molyneux, clerk, and William Molyneux, kt., plaintiffs, and John Swifte and Anne his wife deforciants of a third part of the manors of Ayntre and Mellyng in the parish of Halsall, with the appurtenances, and of 40 messuages, one mill, 40 a. of land, 100 a. of meadow, 200 a. of pasture, 40 a. of wood, 500 a. of moor and turbary, and 15s. of rent in Ayntre and Mellyng in the parish of Halsall and Lyverpole.

John and Anne remitted all right to Edward and William and to the heirs of Edward, for which Edward and William gave them £100.

m. 197. Monday next after the Assumption, 13 Henry VIII. [18 August, 1521].
Between Ralph Standisshe, esq., Roger Asshowe, Richard Pylkyngton, of Rovyngton, and Thomas Wrightyngton, plaintiffs, and Lawrence Asshowe and Joan his wife deforciants of 12 messuages, 380 a. of land, 92 a. of meadow, 70 a. of pasture, 10 a. of wood, 50 a. of moor, and 40 a. of moss in Flixton, Tyldesley, Worseley, Hilton [Middle Hulton], Overhilton, and Netherhilton [Little Hulton].

Lawrence and Joan remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of Roger for ever, and granted for themselves and the heirs of Joan that 3 messuages, 30 a. of land, and 5 a. of meadow, of the said tenements in Flixton, which Joan Langtre, widow, held for the term of her life, after the decease of the said Joan Langtre should remain to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of the said Roger, for which the plaintiffs gave them 100 marks.

m. 194. [18 August, 1521].
Between George Alen, plaintiff, and Thomas Gardyner and Elizabeth his wife deforciants of a messuage and 3 a. of land in Forten in the parish of Cokeram.

Thomas and Elizabeth for themselves and the heirs of Elizabeth remitted all right to George and his heirs, for which George gave them £40.

m. 192. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 13 Henry VIII. [31 March, 1522].
Between Richard Molyneux, of Wygan Wodhous, plaintiff, and Edmund Molyneux and Agnes his wife deforciants of 3 messuages, one mill and 60 a. of land in Orell.

Edmund and Agnes acknowledged the said tenements to be the right of Richard, for which Richard granted them to Edmund and Agnes. To have and to hold to the said Edmund and Agnes for their lives, and after their decease to remain to Thomas Duxbury, son of the said Agnes, for his life, after the decease of the said Thomas to remain to the right heirs of the body of the said Thomas, in default to remain to Robert Duxbury, brother of the said Thomas, and to the heirs of his body, in default to remain to John Duxbury and to the heirs of his body, in default to remain to Richard Duxbury and to the heirs of his body, in default to remain to William Duxbury and to the heirs of his body, in default to remain to Hugh Duxbury and to the heirs of his body, in default to remain to Humphrey Duxbury and to the heirs of his body, in default to remain to the right heirs of the said Agnes.

m. 190. Monday next after the Assumption, 14 Henry VIII. [17 August, 1522].
Between Nicholas Parker, plaintiff, and Thomas Aghton and Thomas Aghton, son and heir apparent of the said Thomas deforciants of 20a. of land in Clitherowe.

Thomas and Thomas remitted all right to Nicholas and his heirs, for which Nicholas gave them £20.

m. 187. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 14 Henry VIII. [16 March, 1523].
Between James Anderton, of Eukeston, plaintiff, and Thurstan Banaster, son and heir of Hugh Banaster, of Bretherton, deforciant of 12 messuages, 140 a. of land, 30a. of meadow, 140a. of pasture, 24 a. of wood, 100 a. of moss, and 10s. of rent in Bretherton.

Thurstan acknowledged the said tenements to be the right of James, and granted that 3 messuages, 40 a. of land, 10 a. of meadow, 40 a. of pasture, 4 a. of wood, 30 a. of moss, and 10s. of rent in Bretherton which Elizabeth, wife of the said Thurstan, and Thurstan Banaster, uncle of the said Thurstan, son of Hugh, and Agnes, mother of the said Thurstan, son of Hugh, held for the term of their lives of the inheritance of the said Thurstan Banaster, son of Hugh, on the day this agreement was made, after the decease of the said Elizabeth, Thurstan Banaster, the uncle, and Agnes should remain to the said James Anderton and to his heirs, for which James gave them £100.

m. 185. Monday next after the Assumption, 14 Henry VIII. [17 August, 1522].
Between Richard Snede, esq., and William Plumtre, chaplain, plaintiffs, and Robert Urmeston, gent., and Margaret his wife deforciants of 11 a. of land in Wygan.

Robert and Margaret remitted all right to Richard and William and to the heirs of William, for which Richard and William gave them £20.

m. 183. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 15 Henry VIII. [7 March, 1524].
Between Simon Heydok and Nicholas Mersden, the younger, plaintiffs, and George Hoghton and Joan his wife deforciants of 10 messuages, 100 a. of land, 40 a. of meadow, 100 a. of pasture, 20 a. of wood, 200 a. of furze and heath, 100 a. of turbary, and 100 a. of moor in Colne, Marsden, and Twiston.

George and Joan, for themselves and the heirs of Joan, remitted all right to Simon and Nicholas and the heirs of Simon, for which Simon gave them £100.

m. 180. Monday next after the Assumption, 17 Henry VIII. [20 August, 1525].
Between Matthew Standisshe, plaintiff, and Robert Mody, clerk, son and heir of Ralph Mody, deceased, deforciant of a messuage, 10 a. of land, 2 a. of meadow, and 3 a. of wood in Standisshe and Shevyngton.

Robert remitted all right to Matthew and his heirs, for which Matthew gave him £40.

m. 177. [20 August, 1525].
Between Ralph Standissh, esq., Richard Hoghton, kt., Roger Bradshawe, esq., Robert Standissh, clerk, and John Wrightyngton, plaintiffs, and Thomas Duxbury deforciant of 3 messuages, 30 a. of land, 10 a. of meadow, and 20 a. of pasture in Duxbury and Adlyngton.

Thomas acknowledged the said tenements to be the right of the said Ralph, and granted that the said tenements which Edmund Molyneux and Agnes his wife, in right of the said Agnes, held for the term of the said Agnes's life, after the decease of the said Agnes should remain to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of the said Ralph for ever, for which Ralph gave him 100 marks.

m. 174. [20 August, 1525].
Between Andrew Barton, esq., Thurstan Tyldesley, esq., Owen Brown, gent., and Henry Brown, gent., plaintiffs, and Oliver Hilton, gent., deforciant of a messuage, 10 a. of land, 2 a. of meadow, and 2 a. of pasture in Tonge, within the parish of Bolton on the Moors.

Oliver acknowledged the said tenements to be the right of Andrew, and granted for himself and his heirs that the said tenements, which Roger Hilton held for the term of his life, after the decease of the said Roger should remain to the said Andrew, Thurstan, Owen and Henry, and to the heirs of the said Andrew for ever, for which Andrew gave to the said Oliver 40 marks.

m. 171. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 17 Henry VIII. [12 March, 1526].
Between John Awen, William More, and Henry Ryle, chaplain, plaintiffs, and Richard Awen, of Maincestre, deforciant of 2 gardens in Maincestre [Manchester].

Richard remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of Henry, for which Henry gave him £10.

m. 168. [12 March, 1526].
Between Robert Langton, esq., and Edward Gelibrond, plaintiffs, and George Henryson and Grace his wife, daughter of Lawrence Marshall, deforciants of 18 messuages, 200 a. of land, 30 a. of meadow, 60 a. of pasture, 30 a. of wood, 40 a. of moor, 20 a. of heath, and 2s. of rent in Preston in Amoundernes, Barton, Hutton, Slyne, Bolton in Lonnesdale [Bolton-le-Sands], Heseham [Heysham], Skerton, Pulton [Poulton-le-Sands], Hakles [Hatlex], Willeswall and Tresholme.

George and Grace, for themselves and the heirs of Grace, remitted all right to Robert and Edward and to the heirs of Robert Langton for ever, for which Robert Langton gave them 200 marks.

m. 165. Monday next after the Assumption, 18 Henry VIII. [19 August, 1526].
Between Richard Todde, chaplain, plaintiff, and Ralph Colynson and Katherine his wife, Henry Sayvell and Elizabeth his wife deforciants of 60 messuages, 500 a. of land, 200 a. of meadow, 580 a. of pasture, 20 a. of wood, 200 a. of moor, 200 a. of furze and heath, 200 a. of turbary, and 20s. of rent in Croston, Mawdesley, and Longton.

The deforciants for themselves and the heirs of Katherine and Elizabeth remitted all right to Richard and his heirs, for which Richard gave them £300.

m. 162. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 19 Henry VIII. [23 March, 1528].
Between Bartholomew Hesketh, plaintiff, and Ralph Venables and Isabella his wife deforciants of a third part of 24 messuages, 200 a. of land, 40 a. of meadow, 100 a. of pasture, 20 a. of wood, and 12s. of rent in Ive [Ivah], Lawgill [Lowgill], Ulthuayte [Outhwaite], Roberundale [Roeburndale], Cauncefeld [Cantsfield], and Over Kellett.

Ralph and Isabella remitted all right to Bartholomew and his heirs, for which Bartholomew gave them £20.

m. 159. Monday next after the Assumption, 19 Henry VIII. [17 August, 1527].
Between Richard Urmeston, Thomas Pendilbery, John Edge, the younger, and John Holme, plaintiffs and Richard Harflynche deforciant of 2 messuages, 23 a. of land, 6 a. of meadow, and 8 a. of pasture in Wyndill [Windle].

Richard Harflynche acknowledged one messuage, 10 a. of land, 2 a. of meadow, and 8 a. of pasture of the said tenements to be the right of the said Richard Urmeston, and remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of the said Richard. Moreover, Richard Harflynche granted that one other messuage, 8 a. of land, and 2 a. of meadow of the said tenements which Alice Stele, late the wife of Peter Harflynche, held for the term of her life; and that 5 a. of land and 2 a. of meadow, the residue of the said tenements which Roger Harflynche held for the term of his life after the decease of the said Alice and Roger should remain to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of the said Richard Urmeston, for which Richard Urmeston gave him £40.

m. 157a. Monday in the fourth week of Lent, 19 Henry VIII. [23 March, 1528].
Between Richard Warynge and Margaret his wife, plaintiffs, and Edward Mansergh, gent., deforciant of 3 messuages, 26 a. of land, 6 a. of meadow, and 7 "Saltcotes" in Stalmyn [Stalmine].

Edward acknowledged the said tenements to be the right of Margaret, for which Richard and Margaret granted them to Edward. To have and to hold to the said Edward and his assigns from Michaelmas last past during the term of 20 years; rendering therefor yearly to Richard and Margaret and to the heirs of Margaret one red rose at the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, and after that term the said tenements to remain to the right heirs of the said Margaret for ever.

m. 154. Monday next after the Assumption, 19 Henry VIII. [17 August, 1527].
Between Thomas Robertys, Henry Hybelthorn, and John Herman, plaintiffs, and Thomas West, kt., Lord de la Warre, deforciant of 4 a. of land covered with water, 3 a. of meadow, 3 a. of pasture, 3 water-mills, and also of the multure of the said mills and the suit of his tenants at the same mills, one fulling-mill, the stream or water of Irke together with the same water, and a free fishery in the same water or stream from a certain place called "Assheley Lawne" as far as the water or stream called Irwell, in Manchester.

Thomas remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of Thomas Robertys, for which the plaintiffs gave him £300.

m. 151. Monday next after the Assumption, 20 Henry VIII. [16 August, 1528].
Between Andrew Barton, esq., Robert Barton, son and heir apparent of the said Andrew, William Radclyff, son and heir apparent of Alexander Radcliff, kt., Hugh Dutton, son and heir apparent of Peter Dutton, kt., Bartholomew Hesketh, William Laythwait, Miles Gerrard, son and heir apparent of Thomas Gerrard, of Ince, esq., and Henry Halsall, son and heir of Henry Halsall, kt., plaintiffs, and William Stanley, kt., and Anne his wife, one of the daughters and heirs of James Haryngton, kt., deforciants of the manor of Westley, with the appurtenances, and 9 messuages, 300 a. of land, 20 a. of meadow, 40 a. of pasture, 4 a. of wood, 40 a. of turbary, and 5s. 5d. of rent in Westley [Westleigh], Penyngton, Bladerode [Blackrod], and Hyndeley.

William and Anne, for themselves and the heirs of Anne, remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of Andrew for ever, for which Andrew gave them 400 marks.

m. 148. [16 August, 1528].
Between William Bradshagh, clerk, William Bradshagh, of Letherland, John Starky, of Aghton, and Gilbert Walshe, plaintiffs, and James Walton and Joan his wife deforciants of a messuage and 4 a. of land in Aghton [Aughton].

James and Joan, for themselves and the heirs of Joan, remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of William Bradshagh, clerk, for which William gave them 20 marks.

m. 145. Thursday next after the Assumption, 20 Henry VIII. [19 August, 1528].
Between John Biron, kt., Edmund Trafford, esq., Edmund Trafford, son and heir apparent of the said Edmund, and Lawrence Asshawe, gent., plaintiffs, and James Hulme deforciant of 17 messuages, 12 burgages, 500 a. of land, 40 a. of meadow, 100 a. of pasture, 20 a. of wood, 100 a. of furze and heath, 200 a. of turbary, and 40s. of rent in Deffhulme [Davyhulme], Barton [upon Irwell], Bromehurst [Broomihurst], Croft [Crofts Bank], Mancestre, Salford, Bury, Spotland, and Rachdale.

James remitted all right to the plaintiffs and to the heirs of Lawrence, for which Lawrence gave him £400.
