The last day of March, 1526. I William Scortreth off Fullsthorpe in the parishe off trusthorpe, make my last will, etc. I will that Alys my wyffe have all my landes in trusthorpe and fulsthorpe for the space off viij yeres to her fyndyng, and to thentent that she wyth the profyttes of the same shall susteyn and bryng up Agnes my doughter; remaynder to John my sonne and to the heires off hys body, excep on messe and iij roodes off grounde lyeng in rossey, wych I will my son Thomas shall have to hym and to hys heyres off hys body. And yff it happen the sayd John to die wyth out issue off hys body, the sayd landes byfore bequethyd to John shall remayne to Thomas my sonne and to his heyres off hys body. And yff it happen Thomas to dye wythout issue off hys body, the sayd messe wyth the iij roodes off grounde shall remayne to John my sonne and to hys heyres off hys body. And yff John and Thomas dye with out issue off ther bodyes, then I will the sayd messe and all the other landes shall remayn to margaret and agnes my doughters and to ther heyres and assignes for ever. Also my mortuary to be gyven after law and costome. (fn. 4) To my syster Cecyll Crammor x yowys after they be clyppyd. To Margarett Crammor x yowys clepyd. Also I will that the sayd george ratyfye and confirme the joynt' off my wyffe, and over and besydes that I will that the sayd jointer be off the clere valewe off xxs. clere over and above all maner off chargys; and I will it be taken off atkynson house. I Thomas Jewetson off Stykford settes my testament, etc. I bequeth vj swades off medow grounde lyeng att byllesby croffte end for to kepe an obbyt for my soule and all crysten soules yerly off sanct Thomas day affter crystynmes. To Beatrix atkyne my syster xs., etc. The resydew off all my goodes nether gyvyn nor wyt I gyff to Jane my wyffe and Wylliam Jewetson, whom I make my executores for to dispose for the helth off my soule as it shall best please god, and Mr. John whytewell for to be superyvsor.
