3 December, 1531. I sir Richerd Butler, vicare of Tetney, makes my last will. My body to be buryed in the highe qwere off Tetney of st Peter and Paule. I will have a crosse off copper and gilte with Mary and John bought, and a crosse clothe of sarsenet with Peter and Paule, the wich I gyff to the church of Tetney. To our mother church of Lincoln warkes xxd. To our Lady gilde of Tetney xijd. To the highe ways of Tetney xijd. To Thomas Petche. To Isabell Taler, and to ether of her chylder. To Henry Taler. To my wyff the house that I dwell in duryng her lyff naturall aftyr the decease of my mother, and then I will that my doughter Agnes have it to her and her heyres for evermore. The resydue of my goodes I gyff to Elizabeth my wyff to bryng up my chyld, and otherwyse to dispose as she shall thynke best, whome I make my executrix. To Helene my wyff one mansion in Halton with x acres pastre and arabyll lande belongyng to the same for the terme of her lyff naturall, and then to be solde be the sight of Robert Symson, whome I make one of my executors, and I gyff hym for his labor iiijs.; and the money therof cumyng by the way of sale I will it be equally devydyd emong my chyldren, that is to say, Nicholes, William, Jenet, Matilda, and Alyson. And yff any of them dye or they cum at laufull age, I will one of them be heyr to the other.
