COLLECTIONS IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Several American collections contain London material, principally miscellaneous items of 16C and 17C date. We have not visited the collections, and the following entries are based on: Library of Congress Catalogs: National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections (1959 onwards); S. De Ricci with W. J. Wilson, Census of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts in the United States and Canada (3 vols., New York, 1935–40), with a Supplement by C. V. Faye and W. H. Bond (New York, 1962); notes compiled by Dr. Caroline M. Barron in the U.S.A. during 1981.
