  • 5. John Wellesborne, esq. claimed before the barons that he was a Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in the King's household and attended there daily, that he had been assessed £7 10s. by the subsidy commissioners of the King's household, and that he had no residence in the city of London. He was discharged in London (E.359/44, r. 19; E.159/321, communia Trinity 34 Hen. VIII, r. 24).
  • 6. Sir Christopher Moore claimed that whereas subsidy commissioners living within the limits of their commissions should be assessed there and whereas he was a commissioner in Surrey and had a residence there he should not be assessed in London. The barons of the exchequer discharged him in London on payment of an assessment of £5 in Surrey (E.359/44, r. 19; E. 159/321, communia Easter 34 Hen. VIII, r. 48).
  • 7. John Lucas, esq., subsidy commissioner in Kent, was discharged in London on payment of assessment of 50s. in Kent (E.359/44, r. 19; E.159/321, communia Trinity 34 Hen. VIII, r. 69). See preceding note.
