620. [1217–21] Grant by Peter prior and convent to Ralph Haryng, 'our chosen friend' and his heirs, of land with houses which Master Brand, once canon of St. Paul's, gave to Holy Trinity; rent 20s. p.a.; Ralph swore fealty and to pay his dues without miskenning and fraud; sealed; witnesses, William de Sancte Marie Ecclesia, bishop of London, Master Robert de Watford, dean of St. Paul's, P. (fn. 1) treasurer of St. Paul's.

621. Note: From this 20s. the prior of St. Mary Overy had 6s. 8d., the chapels of the City 10s. and the anchorites (anachorite) of the same city 3s. 4d.

622. [List of those paying rent]: Ralph Haryng; Henry de Oxford; John de Dureyn; Thomas Everard; James de Montibus who sold the land to Thomas de Kyngsbery who paid 20s. p.a. as in their charter (fn. 2) enrolled 3 Ed. I; John Harwe; Master William Melford, 1 and 19 Ed. II and 1 Ed. III; John Mareys who alienated (forisfidavit) it to the king; and all the goods are in the king's hand and so until now [1425–7] nothing has come from the property.
