The Lord Chamberlain was appointed by this House to attend the King, to know what Time He will please to appoint the Select Committees of both Houses to wait upon Him, to give Him Thanks for His Speech Yesterday.

ORDERED, That this House shall be called on Wednesday next come Sevennight, which will be the Seventh Day of December.

Standing Orders.

ORDERED, That the Standing Orders of this House shall be read To-morrow Morning.

The Lord Chamberlain gave the House an Account, "That His Majesty hath appointed this Afternoon, at Five of the Clock, for the Select Committees of both Houses to wait upon Him, at Whitehall."

Order to prevent Stoppages in the Streets leading to this House.

Whereas there hath been of late much Interruption, by Carts and Drays, in Kings Streat, in the City of Westminster, so that the Lords and others are frequently hindered from coming to Parliament (to the Disservice of the King and Kingdom, and the Hinderance of the Members of Parliament passing to and from the Houses of Parliament aforesaid): It is therefore ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Steward of the City of Westm. or his Deputy, together with the Justices of Peace of the said City, shall, by their Care and Directions to the Constables within the said Limits; take special Order that no Cart or Dray make any Stay, more than for disburdening its Carriage, and that no empty Hackney Coach be suffered to make any Stay, between Whitehall and The Old Pallace Westm. aforesaid, from Nine of the Clock in the Morning to One in the Afternoon of the same Day, during all the Sitting of this Parliament; and that no unnecessary Carriages, by Carts or Drays, be permitted to go through the said Streets, between the Hours aforesaid, during the Sitting of both Houses of Parliament: And herein a special Care is to be taken, by the said Justices and their Constables, as the contrary will be answered to this House.

Declaration concerning Protections.

The Lords Spiritual and Temporal in the High Court of Parliament assembled do hereby require every Member of this House, not to grant any Protection or Protections (during this present Session of Parliament) to any Person or Persons that are not, or shall not be, their Lordships menial Servants, or Persons necessarily and properly employed about their Estates: And in case any such be granted by any Member of this House, that he do presently revoke the same, of all which this House will expect a strict Account; and that all Persons that have presumed, or shall presume, to counterfeit the Protection of any Peer of this Realm shall be severely punished.

ORDERED, That the abovesaid Declaration shall be forthwith printed and published.
