Cheshire Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of divers Lords, Knights, and Gentlemen, of Cheshire:

It is ORDERED, To be referred to the Consideration of the Committee for Petitions, to hear all Parties concerned, and report.

Bill for Sewers.

The Lord Robertes reported the Act for nominating Commissioners of Sewers, as fit to pass, with a few Amendments; which were read Twice, and Agreed to, and the Bill ordered to be ingrossed.

Bill of Indemnity.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act of Free and General Pardon, Indemnity, and Oblivion."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is referred to the Committee of the whole House; to be proceeded in on Thursday Morning next, the First Business.

Bills to be read.

ORDERED, That the Bill for Judicial Proceedings, and the Bill for Poll-money, shall be read To-morrow Morning.

Private Business put off.

ORDERED, That no new Private Petition or Business shall be brought into this House until the Public Business now depending before their Lordships be determined, except such Business as shall concern the Public Bills to be promoted by any Private Persons, by Way of Provisos, or otherwise.

Petitions to be signed.

ORDERED, That no Petition is to be received and read in this House, or at any Committee, unless the same be first subscribed by the Petitioner.

Long's Petition.

Upon reading the Petition of Mr. Longe:

It is ORDERED, To be referred to the Committee of Petitions, to hear all Parties concerned, and report if they see Cause.

Hatfield Level.

Upon Report of the Earl of Pembrooke, touching the Business of Hatfeild Levell:

It is ORDERED, That George Gilby and Thomas Dawson be secured for a Murder committed, and William Jarvais secured for speaking treasonable Words against His Majesty.

Lords Leave to be absent.

ORDERED, The Earl of St. Albans hath Leave to go into France for some Time.

ORDERED, That the Earl of Westm'land hath Leave to be absent from this House for a little Time.

Jervis, Gilby, and Dawson, to be prosecuted; for a Murder, &c. in Hatfield Level.

Whereas Information hath been given to this House, That Will. Jarvis hath spoken treasonable Words against His Majesty, and that George Gilbey and Thomas Dawson are complained of for a Murder committed in Hatfeild Levell, and that others in a tumultuous Manner have done many Things contrary to Law:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords in Parliament assembled, That the Informations concerning the said Riot, Offences, and Murder, in Hatfeild Levell aforesaid, be, and (fn. 1) hereby, transmitted to the Judges of the King's Bench, to proceed against the said Offenders abovenamed, and all others that shall be found faulty in that Business, according to Law.

Adjourn.
