Trinity the Less, Augustine Congregation German Church Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for vesting and settling the Site and Ground of the late Parish Church and Church Yard of Trynity the Less, in Trustees, for the Augustane German Protestant Congregation in London."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to the same Committee as the Bill for the Payment of Church Rates is; and their Lordships are to hear all Parties concerned, especially the Parishioners of Trynity Parish.

Heads for securing the Protestant Religion.

The House was adjourned into a Committee, to proceed in the Consideration of Heads for a Bill to secure the Protestant Religion.

The House being resumed;

The Earl of North'ton reported, "That the House hath been in a Committee, and made a further Progress in the Heads for securing the Protestant Religion; and the Committee desires the House will please to appoint another Day, when the House may be put again into a Committee, to proceed further therein."

And the House ORDERED, That the Committee of the whole House shall consider further of this Business on Tuesday Morning next.

L. Widdrington versus the Town of Berwick, about Fisheries in The Tweed.

Upon reading the Petition of William Lord Widdrington; shewing, "That his Right in several Fishings in the River of Tweede, being disturbed by one William Anderson, pretending a Right thereunto under the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Burgesses of Barwicke, his Lordship brought his Action in the Mayor's Court at Barwick; upon which, and the full Evidence on both Sides, a special Verdict was found; since which, the said Court have delayed and denied the Justice of putting an End to the said Cause (being both Parties and Judges), as in the said Petition is alledged; and therefore prayeth, That the said Mayor, Bailiffs, and (fn. 1) Burgesses of Berwicke, may be brought to answer in this House:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, That the said Mayor, Bailiffs, and Burgesses of Berwicke upon Tweede, do forthwith proceed to Judgement upon the said special Verdict in the said Cause between the said Lord Widdrington and William Anderson, or shew Cause at the Bar of this House on Saturday the 22th Day of this Instant May, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, why they do not proceed therein.

Sir N. Stoughton versus Onslow.

ORDERED, That the Cause upon the Appeal of Sir Nicholas Stoughton, depending in this House, to which Arthur Onslow Esquire hath put in an Answer as Defendant, shall be heard, by Counsel on both Parts, at the Bar, on Monday the Seventeenth Day of this Instant May, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon; whereof the said Sir Nicholas Stoughton is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Arthur Onslow for that Purpose.

Commissioners for the Admiralty versus Harrison, Coroner for Middlesex, Privilege.

Upon Complaint made to this House, "That Mr. Harrison, a Coroner of Middlesex, hath violated the Privilege of the Lords in whom the Office of Admiral of England now is (who are Coroners), by prosecuting a Suit in the King's Bench (sitting the Parliament) against Sir Leoline Jenkins their Lieutenant in that Office, which Suit was occasioned by a Verdict given by a Jury summoned and impanneled by the said Sir Leoline Jenkins, to view the Body of John Atwood, late of Norwich, Merchant, drowned in the River of Thames:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, That the said Mr. Harrison be, and is hereby, required to appear at the Bar of this House, to answer to the said Complaint, on Wednesday the 12th Day of this Instant May, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that all Proceedings of the said Mr. Harrison be stayed in the said Suit during the Privilege of Parliament; whereof he is hereby required to take Notice, and yield Obedience accordingly, as he will answer the contrary to this House.

Adjourn.
