To prevent Disputes about the sitting of this Parliament, Bill.

The Amendments made in the Bill concerning removing and preventing all Questions and Disputes that may arise concerning the assembling and sitting of this present Parliament, being engrossed, were read, and Agreed to.

Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to their Amendment.

Then a Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Atkins and Mr. Whitlocke:

To acquaint them, that this House agrees to the Amendments made to the Bill for removing and preventing all Questions and Disputes that may arise, concerning the assembling and sitting of this present Parliament.

Answer.

The Messengers returned this Answer:

That they have delivered their Message.

Bill passed.

The King, sitting in His Royal Throne, adorned with His Regal Robes, Crown, and Ornaments (the Peers also being in their Robes), commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to give the Commons Notice, "That they attend His Majesty presently."

Who being come, with their Speaker; the Clerk of the Crown read the Title of a Bill, intituled, "An Act for removing and preventing all Questions and Disputes that may arise, concerning the assembling and sitting of this present Parliament."

The Clerk of the Parliaments pronounced the Royal Assent, in these Words,

"Le Roy et la Reyne le veulent."

Adjourn.

Marquis de Halyfax, Orator Procerum pro Tempore, declaravit præsens Parliamentum continuandum esse usque in diem Martis, videlicet, 26um diem instantis Februarii, 1688/9;, hora decima Aurora, Dominis sic decernentibus.
