PRAYERS.

Bill for Relief of those who did not take the Oaths in limited Time.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for Relief of such as have not taken the Oaths within the Time limited by an Act of this present Parliament."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass for a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Methwin:

To deliver the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Relief of such as have not taken the Oaths within the Time limited by an Act of this present Parliament;" and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Papers concerning L. Griffin's Commitment.

Several Letters and Papers concerning the Lord Griffin were read.

Whereupon the Order ensuing was made:

L. Griffin to be brought to the Bar.

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Chief Governor of Their Majesties Tower of London, his Deputy or Deputies, do bring in safe Custody to the Bar of this House Edward Lord Griffin, now Prisoner there, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

"To the Right Honourable the Lord Lucas, Chief Governor of Their Majesties Tower of London, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them."

ORDERED, That the Bishop of Rochester, Bishop of Exon, Bishop of Bangor, and the Bishop of Chester, are added to the Committee for the Bill for the more easy paying of Small Tithes.

L. Preston to attend, concerning his Claim of Privilege as an English Peer.

The House being informed, "That Richard Lord Viscount Preston, of the Kingdom of Scotland, claims the Privilege of a Peer of this Realm:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Lord Viscount Preston do attend this House on Monday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

D. of Newcastle excused.

This Day Richard Wright and William Willson attested, upon Oath, at the Bar, "That the Duke of Newcastle was so sick, that he cannot attend this House."

Upon this, his Absence was excused.

Peers, concerning their being heard on the Merits of their Commitment.

This Day being appointed to take into Consideration the Case of the Lord Delamer, as to a Peer's being heard, upon his Petition, to the Merits of his Commitment:

It is ORDERED, That this House will take the same into Consideration on Monday next.

King's Answer to the Address, for the Committee to peruse the Council Books of the late Kings.

The Lord Steward acquainted the House, "That he and the other Lords with White Staves had attended His Majesty, with the Address of this House, for the Committee of Inspections to have Liberty to peruse the Council Books of King Charles the Second, and the late King James; and that the Clerks of the Council might attend the Committee; to which His Majesty's Answer was, That He readily granted the Desires in the Address."
