Wentworth's Bill.

The Earl of Craven reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to vest some Lands of John Wentworth Esquire in Trustees, to be sold; and for purchasing other Lands with the Money raised thereby, more to the Convenience of the said John Wentworth's Estate," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to vest some Lands of John Wentworth Esquire in Trustees, to be sold, and for purchasing other Lands with the Money raised thereby, more to the Convenience of the said John Wentworth's Estate."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass into a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Message from H. C. to return Kempton Park, &c. Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Christy and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the enabling the Sale of the Manor of Kempton and Kempton-Parke, and other Lands late of Francis Phelipps Esquire, deceased;" (fn. 1) which they had agreed to, without any Amendment.

Wyvell versus Hewley.

The House being this Day moved, "That further Time may be given, for Francis Wyvell to answer to the Appeal of Dorothy Hewley:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Francis Wyvell hath hereby Time given him for answering thereunto, until Monday the Twenty-fourth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Powell & al. versus Williams.

The House being this Day moved, "That further Time may be given for Hugh Powell Clerk, and Anne his Wife, Executrix of Charles Williams, to answer to the Appeal of John Williams Executor of John Williams Esquire:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Hugh Powell Clerk, and Anne his Wife, have hereby Time given them for answering thereunto, until Monday the Seventeenth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

L. Keveton attends.

The House was informed, "That the Lord Keveton was attending at the Door, to know the Pleasure of the House."

Then the former Order of the House was read, touching the Quarrel between him and the Lord Granville.

The Lord Keveton was called in; the Lord Granville being present.

The Speaker, by Direction of the House, said to them as follows:

L. Granville and L. Keveton, Injuaction to prevent quarrelling.

"The House commands your Lordships, that you shall do nothing directly or indirectly, either as Principal or Second, in the further Prosecution of any Quarrel between your Lordships, or between any other Persons wherein your Lordships are or may be concerned; and their Lordships expect that you promise this upon your Honours."

To which both their Lordships promised, upon their Honours, to obey.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal assembled in Parliament, That the several Orders formerly made, in the Lord Granville and Lord Keveton's Case, concerning Mr. Grenvill or Mr. Stringer, be, and are hereby, set aside and discharged.

Rowe versus Gwynnes.

The House was this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Anthony Rowe Esquire is Plaintiff, and Dorcas Gwynne and Rces Gwynne are Defendants:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Monday the Tenth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Dorcas and Rees Gwynne, to the End they attend with their Counsel accordingly.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Rupert Browne shall be heard, by his Counsel, at the Committee to whom is referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making void several Letters Patents therein mentioned;" who are to meet on Thursday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Chancery, &c. for reforming Abuses in, Bill.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for reforming divers Abuses in the Court of Chancery, and other Courts of Equity;" with some Amendments.

Which were Once read, but not agreed to; after which, the following Order was made:

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal of England shall have a Copy sent them of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for reforming divers Abuses in the Court of Chancery and other Courts of Equity;" and that they and the Chancellor of the Dutchy of (fn. 2) the Exchequer may, if they please, be heard what they have to say concerning the same, on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon: And it is further ORDERED, That Sir William Rawlinson, One of the said Lords Commissioners, do then attend, to be heard to the said Bill, unless he shall be hindered by Sickness or other Disability, in which Case he may send Counsel to be heard thereto: And it is likewise ORDERED, That all the Judges do then attend the House."

Dutchess of Albemarle, &c. versus E. of Bath.

The House being this Day to hear Counsel, in the Case depending in this House, upon the Petition of the Dutchess of Albermale, and the Petition of the Creditors of the late Duke of Albermarle, upon this Point, Whether the Earl of Bath hath waved his Privilege in this Case in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, or not:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear Counsel, in the said Case, on Thursday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, the First Business.

D. of South'ton versus Bp of Cov. & Litch.

ORDERED, That the Lords Committees for Privileges do meet on Friday next, at Four of the Clock in the Afternoon, and hear Counsel in the Case depending before the Committee, wherein the Duke of South'ton is concerned, against the Lord Bishop of Coventry and Litchfeild.

Pope versus De Casseris.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Charles Pope is Plaintiff, and Francis De Casseris is Defendant, on Saturday the Eighth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Jones versus Regem.

The House was this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Gaynor Jones is Plaintiff, and Their Majesties Attorney General Defendant:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Twelfth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause Notice to be given to Their Majesties Attorney General, to the End Counsel attend accordingly.

Adjourn.
