York Buildings Waterworks Company Bill.
Protest against it.
"2. And that there is no Provision in the said Act, that the Proprietors shall engage for the making good the said Leases, and assuring the Inhabitants they shall not want Water; nor any to apply to for Relief, in case the Inhabitants are injured for Want of Water, or by unreasonable Exactions of the Proprietors.
The Lord Cornwallis reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia of this Kingdom for the Year 1691, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not re-paid," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.
Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to these Bills.
Navigation and Corn Acts for Suspension of, Bill.
ORDERED, That this House be put into a Committee, To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, to consider of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for suspending, during the War with France, that Part of the Act for Navigation, and that Part of the Act for Exportation of Corn, which obliges English Ships to sail with English Seamen."
Trinity House, &c. to be heard about it.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Navy and the Members of Trinity House, or any other Persons concerned, shall attend, to be heard at the Bar of this House, To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, concerning the Bill, intituled, "An Act for suspending, during the War with France, that Part of the Act for Navigation, and that Part of the Act for Exportation of Corn, which obliges English Ships to sail with English Seamen."
L. Mayor, &c. to put in Execution the Act for regulating the Price of Coals.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen, of the City of London, and the Justices of Peace for the City and Liberty of Westm. do take Care and give Order for the speedy putting in Execution of the Act for reviving a former Act for regulating the Measures and Prices of Coals.
Bill for attainting Persons in Rebellion.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for attainting Persons in Rebellion in England and Ireland, and for applying their Estates towards the Use of the present War."
And the Earl of Warrington reported, "That the Committee had heard Counsel, and received several Provisos and Clauses to be added to the said Bill; and desired that the House might be put into a Committee again To-morrow, to proceed in the said Bill."
