Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for settling a Jointure upon Jane the Wife of Colonel Edward Mathews, Daughter of Sir Thomas Armstrong deceased."

E. of Aylesbury's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the making a Twelve Years Lease, made by the Earl and Countess of Aylisbury for Payment of Debts (which was determinable on their Deaths), to have Continuance absolutely for those Twelve Years."

ORDERED, That this Bill shall be read again this Day Sevennight, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Alnage, for regulating the Collection of.

ORDERED, That the Committee appointed to draw a Bill for regulating the collecting the Duty of Alnage shall be, and is hereby, revived; to meet on Friday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, and the Quorum Three for the future.

Clandestine Marriages Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act disabling Minors to marry without the Consent of their Fathers or Guardians, and against their untimely marrying after the Decease of their Fathers, and for preventing all clandestine Marriages for the future."

The House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of Sarum reported, "That the Committee had made further Progress in the Bill; and desired another Day to be appointed, to proceed therein."

ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee again, to proceed therein, on Friday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Myres & al. Tenants of Millom versus Huddlestone.

Whereas Tuesday next was appointed for hearing the Cause wherein Edmond Myres and others, Customary Tenants of the Manor of Millom, are Plaintiffs, against Joseph Hudlestone Esquire and others are Defendants:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Saturday the Seventh Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Fleetwood versus Fleetwood.

Whereas Monday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant November was appointed for Richard Fleetwood to put in his Answer to the Petition of Richard Fletewood, of Rossall, in the County of Lancaster, Esquire, depending in this House:

It is this Day ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Defendant Richard Fletewood hath hereby Time given him for answering thereunto, until Monday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Bennet versus E. Sarum.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Bennet Esquire and Grace his Wife, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the First Day of May, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-one, in a Cause there depending, between James Earl of Salisbury and Frances his Countess Complainants, against your Petitioners and others Defendants; and praying an Order to the said James Earl of Salisbury and Frances his Wife, to put in their Answer thereunto:

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said James Earl of Salisbury and Frances his Wife may have a Copy of the said Petition and Appeal; and do put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Friday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioners are to cause timely Notice to be given to the said Earl of Salisbury and Frances his Wife, to the End they answer accordingly.

Albyn versus Moyre.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Benjamine Albyn Merchant, from a Decree in Chancery, made the Twenty-fifth Day of February, One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty-nine, at the Suit of one Samuell Moyer, whereby a Decree of the said Court, the Thirtieth Day of October, 1° Jacobi Secundi, was reversed, and another Decree of the said Court, made the Fourth Day of May, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-one, whereby the Petitioner was charged with Six Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy-seven Dollars and Seven and Thirty Aspers more than he ought to be charged with, and of which he was discharged by the First Decree; and praying the Decree of Reversal may be reversed, and the First Decree confirmed, and the said Samuell Moyer appointed to answer to the said Petition:

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Samuell Moyer may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and be, and he is hereby, required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Friday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; whereof the Petitioner is to cause timely Notice to be given to the Defendant, to the End he answer accordingly.

Hale versus Dashwood.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Thomas Hale Gentleman, against a Decree and an Order made in the Court of Chancery, the Twelfth Day of July, 1688, in a Cause wherein the said Thomas Hale was Complainant, against Sir Samuell Dashwood Knight and Francis Dashwood Gentleman Respondents; and praying, "That the said Decree and Order may be altered and amended; and that the said Sir Samuell Dashwood and Francis Dashwood be ordered to put in their Answer thereunto; and that, in the mean Time, all Proceedings be stayed on the said Order:"

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Sam'll Dashwood may have a Copy of the said Petition and Appeal; and put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Friday the Thirteenth Day of this Instant November, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, if he think fit; and that the said Francis Dashwood may also have a Copy of the same, and be, and is hereby, required to put in his Answer thereunto on the said Thirteenth Instant; and that, in the mean Time, all Proceedings in the Courts below shall be stayed.
