PRAYERS.

Zouch versus Swinnock.

Upon reading the Petition of James Zouch; shewing, "That he is advised, that it is proper to make his Sister Dorothy English Widow a Respondent to his Appeal, in regard her Right is concerned in the Matters in Question; and praying a further Day for hearing of his Cause, to which Samuel Swinnock is Respondent:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday the Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the said Dorothy English be a Respondent in this Cause, and do answer the Appeal in the mean Time.

Q. Dowager versus L. Ossulston, for Waver of Privilege.

Whereas this Day was appointed for the Right Honourable the Lord Ossulston to put in his Answer to the Petition of Sir James Butler, Attorney General to the most Excellent Princess the Queen Dowager, for and on the Behalf of the Queen Dowager:

After hearing his Lordship thereupon, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition, and what the Lord Ossulston objected thereunto, shall be referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, to consider thereof, and hear such Persons thereupon as they shall think fit, and report to the House; which Committee is to meet on Tuesday next, at Four of the Clock in the Afternoon.

Lomax versus Lomax:

Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon the Petition of Joshua Lomax, against Thomas Lomax; shewing, "That this House, the last Session of Parliament, affirmed a Decree, which is inconsistent in itself, and impracticable, and not to be performed unless explained;" as also Counsel for the said Thomas Lomax in Answer thereunto:

After due Consideration had of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition of Joshua Lomax shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the said Joshua Lomax shall pay, or cause to be paid, unto the said Thomas Lomax, the Sum of Fifty Pounds for his Costs.

Price and Newnham, who signed Lomax's Petition, to attend.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Thomas Price and Michael Newnham Esquires, who signed the Petition of Joshua Lomax, shall and they are hereby required to attend this House on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Castell versus Stephens.

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Richard Castell is Appellant, and Francis Stephens Respondent:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Service of this Order upon the Respondent's Clerk in Chancery shall be good Service, in order thereunto.

Brandy, &c, Bill to repeal Acts which prohibit the Importation of.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for repealing such Parts of several former Acts as prevent or prohibit the Importation of Foreign Brandy, Aqua Vitæ, and other Spirits, and Bacon, except from France."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have passed it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Robert Legard:

To let the Commons know, they have passed the said Bill, without Amendment.

State of the Public Accompts to be sent to this House.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners appointed by a late Act of Parliament, to examine, take, and state, the Public Accompts of the Kingdom, do, with all convenient Speed, send to this House, in Writing, a State of the said Public Accompts.
