Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing and making perpetual several Laws therein mentioned."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass, with the Amendments?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Public Accompts, Bill to enable Commissioners to take.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for appointing and enabling Commissioners to examine, take, and state, the Public Accompts."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have passed it; and with Amendments to the Bill for continuing Laws.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Holford:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing and making perpetual several Laws therein mentioned," and desire their Concurrence to the Amendments.

And to let them know, the Lords have passed the Bill, intituled, "An Act for appointing and enabling Commissioners to examine, take, and state, the Public Accompts;" to which their Lordships have agreed, without any Amendment.

River Thames, to prevent Exactions on for Locks and Weirs, and to regulate Water Carriage, Bill.

The Earl of Bridgewater reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent Exactions of the Occupiers of Locks and Weirs, upon the River of Thames Westward; and for ascertaining the Rates of Water Carriage upon the said River," as sit to pass, without any Amendment.

Reflections on this House, in a Cause in Chancery concerning Convex Lights:

After hearing this Day Mr. Clapham (pursuant to the Order of the First Instant), in relation to some Proceedings in Chancery touching the Convex Lights; the following Orders were made:

Smith and Chiswell to attend.

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That James Smith, of The Middle Temple, London, Esquire, and Richard Chiswell, do forthwith attend this House."

Message to H. C. for Nois, now in Custody of their Serjeant, to attend.

"A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Holford:

"To acquaint them, that this House having Occasion to examine Charles Nois, who (as they are informed) is in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending the House of Commons; their Lordships desire he may be permitted forthwith to attend this House."

Vaughan versus Humphreys, in Error.

Mr. Baron Powell, in the usual Manner, brought in a Writ of Error, from the Court of Exchequer, wherein Humfry Vaughan is Plaintiff, and Bridget Humphreys Defendant.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bridges and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act to oblige Sir Thomas Cooke to give an Accompt to whom he paid and distributed several Sums of Money, therein mentioned to be received out of the Treasure of the East-India Company;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Robert Cotton and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for selling the Estate of John Kirke deceased, for Payment of his Debts;" to which they have agreed, with One Amendment, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which, being read Three Times, was agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Answer from thence, that Nois shall attend.

Reflections on this House, in a Cause in Chancery concerning Convex Lights.

After hearing this Day several other Persons in relation to some Proceedings in Chancery (touching the Convex Lights), wherein are Reflections upon this House:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the further Consideration of this Matter shall be resumed To-morrow, at Twelve of the Clock.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Littleton and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to His Majesty certain Rates and Duties upon Marriages, Births, and Burials, and upon Batchelors and Widowers, for the Term of Five Years, for carrying on the War against France with Vigour."

As also a Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing Two former Acts for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert His Majesty's Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for Payment of Quarters for One Year longer."

To which Bills they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Message from thence, to return Woollaston's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Waller and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable Hannah Woollaston Widow, and Jonathan her Son, an Infant, to sell certain Lands and Tenements in Warnford, in the County of South'ton, for Payment of Debts and Legacies, according to the Will of Richard Woollaston Esquire, deceased;" to which they have agreed, with One Amendment, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which, being read Three Times, was agreed to; and ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice thereof.
