King's Answer to Address.

The Lord Chancellor reported His Majesty's Answer to the Address presented to Him Yesterday, to this Effect:

"That His Majesty thanked the Lords for their kind Expressions in their Address."

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Address of this House, and His Majesty's most Gracious Answer thereunto, be forthwith printed and published.

King's Speech considered.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the further Consideration of His Majesty's most Gracious Speech.

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That it is the Opinion of the Committee, That a State of the Fleet, and the Fortifications relating to the Security thereof, be laid before this House, and in the First Place those in the River Medway, Thames, and Harbour of Portsmouth, with all Expedition; and that the House be moved, they may have Leave to sit again."

State of the Fleet, and Fortifications, to be laid before the House.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Officers of the Ordnance, and Commissioners of the Admiralty, do lay before this House a State of the Fleet, and the Fortifications relating to the Security thereof, and in the First Place those on the Rivers Medway, Thames, and Harbour of Portsmouth, with all Expedition.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee again, to consider further of His Majesty's Speech.
