Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting in Trustees, to be sold, certain Lands of George Hewett Esquire, lying in the County of Middl'x, settled upon his Marriage; and, with the Money arising thereby, for purchasing other Lands in Leicestershire, where his Estate and Seat lies, to be settled to the same Uses."

Act for amending the Poor Laws, to explain, Bill:

The Earl of Stamford reported from the Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for explaining an Act made the last Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for supplying some Defects in the Laws for the Relief of the Poor of this Kingdom," with some Amendments.

To which the House agreed.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining an Act made the last Session of Parliament, intituled, An Act for supplying some Defects in the Laws for the Relief of the Poor of this Kingdom."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass, with the Amendments?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Sir Richard Holford:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made thereto.

Co. of Maclesfeld to be heard against the Divorce Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Ann Countess of Maclesfeld; shewing, "That Fitton Gerard Esquire is ordered, upon his Petition, to be heard, by his Counsel, on Tuesday next, touching a Bill now depending in this House, intituled, An Act for dissolving the Marriage between Charles Earl of Maclesfeld and Anne his Wife, and to illegitimate the Children of the said Anne; and praying she may be heard, by her Counsel, at the same Time:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Anne Countess of Maclesfeld shall be heard, by her Counsel, as desired, To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock.

Enclosure of Commons, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enclosing and improving the Commons and Waste Grounds of the Kingdom of England and Dominion of Wales."

A Debate arising, touching the Second Reading of the abovesaid Bill;

It is ORDERED, That the said Debate shall be adjourned to Saturday the Fifth Day of March next.

Woollen Manufacture, to encourage, and to restrain the Exportation of Wool from England and Ireland, Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to encourage the Woollen Manufacture in England, and to restrain the Exportation of Woollen Manufactures from Ireland into any Foreign Parts; and for the better preventing the Exportation of Wool from England and Ireland."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Thursday the Tenth Day of March next.

Salt by Weight, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act that all Retailers of Salt shall sell by Weight."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Rochester reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

Bp. of Chester & Peirse versus Regem, in Error.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Peirse Esquire; shewing, "That a Writ of Error was brought into this House the Five and Twentieth Instant, on which the Petitioners have assigned Errors; and praying a Day may be appointed, for His Majesty, by His Attorney General, to join Issue; and that the Service of Mr. Dutton Seaman, Attorney and Solicitor for the Desendant, may be sufficient Service:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That His Majesty's Attorney General do join Issue thereupon, on or before Friday next, at Eleven of the Clock; and that the Service of this Order on Mr. Dutton Seaman shall be a sufficient Service, in order thereunto.

Don Ph. de la Guerra versus Sir W. Godolphin's Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Don Phelipe de la Guerra, Agent and Consul to His Catholic Majesty, on the Behalf of the Executors of the last Will and Testament of Sir William Godolphin Knight, deceased, Subjects of His said Catholic Majesty residing in the Kingdom of Spain; praying, "to be heard, against a Bill, intituled, An Act for confirming and establishing the Administration of the Goods and Chattels of Sir William Godolphin Knight, deceased:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by his Counsel, at the Bar, on Saturday next, at Eleven of the Clock; at which Time Counsel may be heard for the said Bill also.

Twyford versus Hilliard.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of James Twyford and Sarah his Wife, Appellants and Defendants to a Suit, Decree, and other Proceedings, had against them in Chancery; wherein William Hilliard and Mary his Wife are Plaintiffs, and George Twyford an Infant, by William Swift his Guardian, to the Orders and Proceedings had in the same Court, in certain Causes, wherein the said George Twyford, by his Guardian, was Plaintiff, against the said William Hilliard, Mary his Wife, and others, Defendants; and the said William Hilliard and Mary his Wife were Plaintiffs, against the said George Twyford the Infant, and others Defendants; praying, "That the Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings made in the Court of Chancery, may be annulled, vacated, and reversed, and the Petitioners be restored to their Possessions; and that William Hilliard and Mary his Wife may answer thereunto:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said William Hilliard and Mary his Wife may have a Copy of the said Petition; and do put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the One and Twentieth Day of March next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Arbitration Bill.
