Ranger versus Ashmead, in Error:

After hearing Counsel, this Day, at the Bar, to argue the Errors assigned by Charles Ranger, in a Writ of Error brought into this House the Fourth Day of March last, from a Judgement given in the Court of King's Bench, with the Affirmance thereof in the Exchequer Chamber, to which Christopher Ashmeade is Defendant, upon an Action of Trespass against the Plaintiff in the Writ of Error (and one Edward Hort, since deceased) for breaking and entering his Close, and cutting down his Trees, in the Parish of Crudwell, in the County of Wilts; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement affirmed.

It is Resolved and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Judgement, given for Christopher Ashmeade, in the Court of King's Bench, and the Affirmation thereof in the Exchequer Chamber, against the said Charles Ranger, shall be, and is hereby, reversed; and that the Record and Affirmation thereof be remitted.

The Tenor of which Judgement, to be affixed to the Transcript of the Record, followeth; (videlicet,)
