Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the vesting divers Lands and Tenements of Edward Owen, of Eaton Mascott, in the County of Salop, Esquire, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of his Debts;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Morgan's Petition, for a Bill to prevent Mary Morgan marrying Lewis, or others by his Procurement.

Upon reading the Petition of Edmund Morgan Esquire; praying Leave, "That a Bill may be brought in, to prevent any Marriage of Mary Morgan, the only Daughter of Thomas Morgan, late of Penrose, in the County of Monmouth, with the Son of Thomas Lewis, or any other Person by the Privity or Direction of the said Lewis; or, if a Marriage be already had, the same be declared null and void."

Powell versus Pleydell.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of David Powell Gentleman, and Elizabeth his Wife, from an Order or Decree of Dismission, pronounced in the Court of Chancery the Sixth Day of July last, upon the Hearing of a Cause wherein the Petitioners were Plaintiffs, against William Pleydell Esquire, and Robert Culpeper, Defendants; and praying the Reversal of the said Order or Decree of Dismission:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said William Pleydell and Robert Culpeper may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Ivye versus Ashe.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of St. John Ivye, from an Order or Decree, made the Sixteenth Day of June One Thousand Seven Hundred and Two, in the Court of Chancery, in a Cause there depending, between the said St. John Ivye Plaintiff, and Edward Ashe Defendant; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree; and that Edward Ashe may answer the Appeal:

Attorney General versus Mayor & al. of Coventry.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Edward Northey Knight, Her Majesty's Attorney General, at the Relation of the Master and Wardens of the Merchant Taylors of the Fraternity of St. John the Baptist, in the City of London, for and on the Behalf of the Inhabitants of the City of Coventry, and of the Boroughs of Northampton, Leicester, Nottingham, and Warwick, from a Dismission (pronounced in Chancery the Thirteenth of December One Thousand Seven Hundred) of an Information brought by Sir Thomas Trevor Knight, then Attorney General to His late Majesty King William the Third, at the Relation aforesaid, against the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Commonalty, of the City of Coventry; and praying, "That the said Decree of Dismission may be reversed:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Commonalty of the City of Coventry may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and they are hereby required to put in their Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Thursday the One and Thirtieth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Shepheard & al. versus Kent.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause wherein Samuel Sheppard and others are Appellants, and John Kent and others Respondents, on Monday the Fourteenth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Prise versus Button.

Whereas Wednesday next was appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein John Prise is Appellant, and Thomas Button Respondent:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Friday the Fourteenth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Caldecot, Leave for a Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Philip Caldecot Senior, and Henrietta his Wife, Philip Caldecot Junior, and Martha Caldecot Mother of the said Philip Caldecot Senior; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to enable them to raise Fifteen Hundred Pounds on certain Lands lying in the County of Dorset:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Occasional Conformity, Bill to prevent.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preventing Occasional Conformity."

The House was resumed.

And the Lord Herbert reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, with several Amendments and Provisos."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Provisos ordered to be engrossed.

ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be read the Third Time on Wednesday next; and all the Lords summoned to attend.
