Upon reading the Petition of John Daeerman, and the Petition of James Ricard and others; praying to be naturalized:
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners may be added to a Bill of Naturalization, now depending in this House, as desired.
Revenue, State of.
Mr. King, Secretary to the Commissioners appointed by Act of Parliament to take an Accompt of the Public Revenues, delivered, at the Bar,
"An Accompt of the general State of the Receipts and Issues of the Public Revenue, between the Feast of St. Michael 1700, and the Feast of St. Michael 1701; and also the Feast of St. Michael 1701, and the Feast of St. Michael 1702; with their Observations thereupon."
Erle's Committee shortened.
Whereas, upon the Second Reading Yesterday of a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Executors and Trustees of Sir Charles Ralegh to transfer to Thomas Erle Esquire Eight Hundred Pounds Capital Stock in the Bank of England, in order for the Payment of the just Debts of the said Thomas Erle," the Committee was ordered to meet Yesterday was a Fortnight:
The House being this Day moved, "That the Time may be shortened for the Meeting of the said Committee, in respect to the Necessity the Family lies under for the said Bill's passing:"
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Committee shall meet on Friday the Two and Twentieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers.
Supple's Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable the Devisees of James Supple, and all claiming under them, to make Leases, for the Improvement of the Estate devised."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet on Saturday the Thirtieth Day of this Instant January, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
St. Martin's Ground, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better improving a certain Piece of Ground, in the Parish of St. Martin's in the Fields, for the Use of the Poor, and for other the Purposes therein mentioned."
ORDERED, That the Consideration of the said Bill be referred to the Committee abovenamed; who are to meet at the same Time and Place.
Powell versus Pleydell:
After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of David Powel Gentleman and Elizabeth his Wife, from an Order or Decree of Dismission, pronounced in the Court of Chancery the Sixth Day of July last, upon the Hearing of a Cause wherein the Petitioners were Plaintiffs, against William Pleydell Esquire and Robert Culpeper Defendants; and praying the Reversal of the said Order or Decree: As also upon the Answer of the said William Pleydel and Robert Culpeper put in thereunto; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:
Judgement affirmed.
It is this Day ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of David Powel and Elizabeth his Wife shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Order or Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.
