Lords take the Oaths.

This Day James Earl of Derby and William Lord Craven took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Frere versus Boteler.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Susannah Frere Widow, from a Decree made in the High Court of Chancery, the Eighteenth Day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, in a Cause wherein Mirable Boteler Widow was Complainant, against the Petitioner and John Bretton, and others, Defendants; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree, and that Mirable Boteler may answer to the said Appeal:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Mirable Boteler may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and she is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Saturday the Eighteenth Day of December next, at Eleven a Clock.

Brown & al. to attend, with Papers about the E. of Dundonald's Birth, &c.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Brown Minister of Paisley, and Reader of Paisley, or Session Clerk there, do attend this House, on Thursday the Sixteenth Day of December next; and do bring with them the Records, Papers, or Warrants, belonging to the Kirk Session, especially such as contain any Accounts concerning the Birth or Baptism of the present Earl of Dundonnald; and hereof they may not fail, as the contrary will be answered to this House.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Alexander Wood, late Minister of Cockpen, now Chamberlain or Steward to the Viscount of Dupline, Mrs. Campbel Wife to Gilbert Campbel Merchant in Edinburgh, Mrs. Hay Wife to Alexander Hay Vintner in Edinburgh, Mrs. Campbel Wife to Captain John Campbel, at present Lieutenant in the Lord Polwarth's Dragoons, Mrs. Forbes Midwife in Edinburgh, Gilbert Stewart Wright in Dalbousie, Mr. Pat. Midleton Writer in Edinburgh and Chamberlain or Steward to the Earl of Dalhousie, Mr. William Cochran of Kilmarannock, William Cochran Younger of Ochiltree, and Cochran of Fergushe, do attend this House, on Thursday the Sixteenth Day of December next; and hereof they may not fail, as the contrary will be answered to this House.
