Mayne's Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of the Judges, to whom was referred the Consideration of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vacating the Settlement made upon the Marriage of Henry Mayne; and for making a reasonable Provision for the Maintenance of his only Son (who is an Idiot) during his Life:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Bill be read a Second Time.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vacating the Settlement made upon the Marriage of Henry Mayne; and for making a reasonable Provision for the Maintenance of his only Son (who is an Idiot) during his Life."

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords following; (videlicet),

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Encouragement of Trade to America, Bill.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of the Trade to America."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Hiccocks and Mr. Medlycote:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made thereunto.

Court of Exchequer in North Britain, Establishment, Bill.

Then the House (pursuant to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling and establishing a Court of Exchequer in the North Part of Great Britain, called Scotland."

After some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee of the whole House had made some further Progress in the Bill; and desire another Time may be appointed, for the House to proceed therein."

Ordered, That the House be put into a Committee again, to proceed further on the said Bill To-morrow, at Twelve a Clock.

Hamilton's Bill.

The Lord Herbert reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of James Hamilton Esquire, deceased," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of James Hamilton Esquire, deceased."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Messages from H. C. with a Bill; and to return the East Riding, York, Register Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Godfrey Copley and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the public registering of all Deeds, Conveyances, Wills, and other Incumbrances, that shall be made of, or that may affect, any Honours, Manors, Lands, Tenements, or Hereditaments, within the East Riding of the County of York, or the Town and County of the Town of Kingston upon Hull;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments, with an Amendment, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which said Amendment was read Thrice, and agreed to.

Ordered, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to their Amendment made to their Lordships Amendments to the said Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Dutton Colt and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for the Relief of Captain James Roch;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Ecclesiastical Livings, First Fruits, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enlarge the the Time for returning the Certificates of all Ecclesiastical Livings not exceeding the Yearly Value of Fifty Pounds, as also for discharging all Livings of that Value from the Payment of First Fruits; and for allowing Time to Archbishops and Bishops, and other Dignitaries, for Payment of their First Fruits."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Saturday next.

Affleck et al. Nat. Bill.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing John Affleck Esquire, and Mary Dutry."

Lords Committees appointed to consider of the Motion made this Day, on the Behalf of the Earl of Roseberie; (videlicet,) "That the House would appoint a peremptory Day, for Sir John Inglis to put in an Answer to his Appeal;" as also to consider of the Petition of Sir John Inglis, read this Day, relating to that Matter; and to report to the House their Opinion in this Case; (videlicet,)

The House being this Day moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing of the Cause wherein Edward Pennyfeather and Robert Bridgeman are Appellants, and Edward Shaller Respondent:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Thirtieth Instant, at Eleven a Clock.
