The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Medlycott and Mr. Fellowes:

To return the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendments made thereto.

Messages from thence, to return the Parochial Libraries Bill;

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Compton and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Preservation of Parochial Libraries, in that Part of Great Britain called England;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill, with an Amendment to One of the said Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which Amendment was read Thrice, and agreed to; and Ordered, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

and the Dean of Windsor's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Topham and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for annexing the Rectory or Parsonage of Haseley, in the County of Oxon, to the Deanry of the King's Free Chapel of St. George within his Castle of Windsor; and for vesting the Advowson of the Rectory and Parochial Church of St. Mary, alias North Church, Barkhamstead, in the County of Hertford, in the Dean and Canons of the King's Free Chapel of St. George, within His Castle of Windsor, in Lieu thereof;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire their Lordships Concurrence.

Which Amendments were read Thrice, and agreed to; and Ordered, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Privileges of Ambassadors, &c. Bill.

Then the House took into Consideration the Amendment made by the Commons to One of their Lordships Amendments made to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for preserving the Privileges of Ambassadors, and other Public Ministers, of Foreign Princes and States."

Which said Amendment was read Thrice, and agreed to; and Ordered, That the Commons have Notice thereof.

Sir A. Brand versus Mackenzie.

Upon reading the Petition of Sir Alexander Brand, relating to his Appeal depending in this House; as also the Petition of George Mackenzie, Son to George Mackenzie, as Grantee from Her Majesty, in a Decree of Exchequer of North Britain, pronounced against Sir Alexander Brand, concerning the said Appeal:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That on Tuesday next, at Twelve a Clock, this House will hear One Counsel on either Side, upon the Subject-matter of the said Petitions.

Message from H. C. to return Stopford's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Annesley and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable James Stopford Esquire to sell Lands, in the County of Nottingham, for Payment of Debts and Portions;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Amendments by H. C. to the Bill for Improvement of the Union:

The House took into Consideration the Amendments made by the Commons to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for improving the Union of the Two Kingdoms."

And the Clause (A) being read;

And Debate thereupon:

An Amendment was proposed to be made to the said Clause, by leaving out ["said First Day of July"]; and instead thereof inserting, ["the Decease of the Person who pretended to be Prince of Wales during the Life of the late King James, and since pretends to be King of Great Britain."]

After further Debate;

"The Question was put, "Whether ["said First Day of July"] shall stand Part of the Clause?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Then the Question was put, "Whether instead of ["said First Day of July"] shall be inserted ["the Decease of the Person who pretended to be Prince of Wales during the Life of the late King James, and since pretends to be King of Great Britain"]."

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Then Clause [B] was read.

And it being proposed, "After the Word ["that"], and before the Word ["when"], to add, in the said Clause, these Words; (videlicet,) ["the Decease of the Person who pretended to be Prince of Wales during the Life of the late King James, and since pretends to be King of Great Britain"]:"

After Debate;

The Question was put, "Whether in the said Clause, after the Word ["that"], and before the Word ["when"], shall be inserted these Words; (videlicet,) ["the Decease of the Person who pretended to be Prince of Wales during the Life of the late King James, and since pretends to be King of Great Britain"]."

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Then Clauses (A) and (B) were read entire, as amended, and agreed to.

Message to H. C. that the Lords agree to them, with some Amendments.
