Henden's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of several Lands and Hereditaments of William Henden Esquire, in the County of Kent, for Payment of his Debts; and for settling other Lands in the same County, of a better Value, to the same Uses, in Lieu thereof."

Bridger's Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Winefrid Bridger Widow, Lawrence Bridger, on Behalf of himself and John Bridger the Younger, his Son, an Infant, John Bridger the Elder, Brother of the said Lawrence, and Samuel Bridger; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for vesting Part of the Premises in the Petition mentioned, in Trustees, to be sold, for raising Money, for the Purposes in the Petition set forth:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. justice Powell and Mr. Baron Lovell; who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

Sir A. Kennedy versus Cummings.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Andrew Kennedy Baronet, from a Decree made by the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland, the Ninth Day of December One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven, on the Behalf of Sir Alexander Cummings; and praying (amongst other Things), "That the said Decree may be reversed, and the Petitioner relieved, and Sir Alexander Cummings to answer the Premises:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Sir Alexander Cummings may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and he is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Tuesday the Fourteenth Day of March next, at Eleven a Clock.

Bp. of Raphoe's Bill.

The Lord President reported from the Lords Committees, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for discharging John Lord Bishop of Rapho, in the Kingdom of Ireland, from all Penalties, Disabilities, and Incapacities, incurred by him, in omitting to take the Oath of Abjuration on or before the First Day of August One Thousand Seven Hundred and Three; and for making all Ecclesiastical and Civil Acts done by him as Bishop of Rapho, after such Omission, to be of the same Validity as they would have been if he had taken the said Oath in due Time: That they had considered the same; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

Mathew's Bill.

The Lord Delawar reported from the Lords Committees, to whom was referred the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of such Part of the Estate of Nathaniel Mathew, late of Petersham, in the County of Surrey, Gentleman, deceased, as will be sufficient to discharge his Debts and Legacies thereon charged by his last Will and Testament; and for settling the Remainder thereof to the Uses in the said Will mentioned: That they had considered the same; and think it fit to pass, with several Amendments."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

Driscoll versus Dalton.

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Dennis Driscoll Esquire, whereunto Richard Dalton is Respondent; and Debate of what was offered thereupon:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Debate be adjourned till Saturday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Marq. of Dorchester's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for settling the Estates of the Right Noble Evelyn Lord Marquis of Dorchester and William Pierrepont, Esquire, commonly called Lord Kingston, Son and Heir Apparent of the said Lord Marquis; and also for settling the Estate of John Hall Esquire, on the Marriage of the said William Pierrepont Esquire."

Sir R. Grosvenor, Leave for a Bill.

After reading, and considering the Report of the Lord Chief Baron and Mr. Justice Powys, to whom was referred the Petition of Sir Richard Grosvenor Baronet and others; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners have hereby Leave to bring in a Bill, according to the Prayer of the said Petition.

Wood's Pet referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Henry Wood, alias Webb, an Infant, only Son and Heir of Henry Wood, alias Webb, late of Great Bealings, in the County of Suffolk, Esquire, and Elizabeth Webb, only Sister and presumptive Heir of the said Infant, and Thomas Redgrave Gentleman, his Guardian; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the immediate Sale of the Manor of Great Bealings, and the several Farms, Lands, and Hereditaments, with their Appurtenances, lying in several Parishes and Places in the County of Suffolk; and that, out of the Purchase money, the Mortgages and other Securities in the Petition mentioned may be paid off, and the rest of the Money secured for the Use of the Petitioner the Infant, when he shall attain the Age of One and Twenty Years:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to the Lord Chief Baron of the Court of Exchequer and Mr. Justice Tracy; who are forthwith to summon all Persons concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.
