Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for confirming to the Principal and Scholars of King's Hall, and College of Brasen-nose, in the University of Oxford, the Purchase of the Advowsons of Stepney and other Churches; and for settling the same to the Benefit of the said College."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Devon, Public Stock, Bill.

The Lord President reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for ratifying several Purchases lately made with the Public Stock of the County of Devon; and for making further Purchases, for the Use of the said County, with the Public Stock thereof; and also for regulating and better Employment of the Public Stock of the said County," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

American Pine Trees, for Preservation of, Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the Preservation of White and other Pine Trees, growing in Her Majesty's Colonies of New Hampshire, The Massachusets Bay, and Province of Main, Rhode Island, and Providence Plantation, the Narraganset Country or King's Province, and Connecticut, in New England; New York, and New Jersey, in America, for the masting Her Majesty's Navy."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Thursday next, at Twelve a Clock.

Calvert's Petition for a Divorce, Bill.

The Order being read, for the House to be put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for confirming a Sentence given in the Arches Court of Canterbury, for divorcing Benedict Leonard Calvert Esquire, and the Lady Charlotte his Wife; and for bastardizing the spurious Issue of the said Lady Charlotte:"

Baker and Boyer discharged.

Whereas John Baker Printer, and Abell Boyer Compiler, of the Pamphiet, intituled, "The Political State of Great Britain, containing an Impartial Account of the most important and remarkable Transactions, Changes in the Ministry, and Proceedings in Parliament and Convocation, &c." in which an Account is pretended to be given of the Debates and Proceedings of this House, were, pursuant to the Order of Saturday last, brought to the Bar, and, kneeling, were reprimanded by the Lord Keeper:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Baker and Abell Boyer shall be, and they are hereby, discharged (paying their Fees); and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir William Oldes, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them.

Sir Lyon Pilkington versus Cuthbertson.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Sir Lyon Pilkington Baronet, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery, the Ninth Day of February One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seven; and an Order of the same Court, of the Nineteenth Day of January last, in a Cause wherein the Petitioner was Plaintiff, and Mary Cuthbertson Widow Defendant, etè contra; and praying, "That the said Decree and Order may be so far reversed and rectified, as that the Petitioner may have a Satisfaction for Five Hundred Thirty-eight Pounds, as a Creditor to Dame Lenox Pilkington's separate Estate, and preferable to the Dispositions by her made:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Mary Cuthbertson may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and she is hereby required to put in her Answer thereunto, in Writing, on Monday the Twenty-sixth Day of this Instant March, at Eleven a Clock.
