Bishop of Worcester takes the Oaths.

This Day William Lord Bishop of Worcester took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Ministers in Scotland, Abjuration Oath, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Time for the Ministers in Scotland to take the Abjuration Oath."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Delawar reported from the Committee, "That they had gone through the said Bill, and made some Amendments thereunto."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be engrossed.

Message from H. C. to return Sir W. Hodges' Bill, with more Amendments to it.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Hungerford and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to empower the Paymaster of the Million Lottery Tickets to pay to Sir William Hodges Baronet the Money due upon Fourteen Tickets in the said Lottery;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill, with some Amendments to One of their Lordships Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Amendments agreed to.

Then the said Amendments were read, and agreed to.

And a Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Orlebar and Mr. Dormer:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to their Amendments to One of their Lordships Amendments made to the said Bill.

African Company Creditors, Bill:

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making effectual such Agreement as shall be made between the Royal African Company of England and their Creditors."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Delawar reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and had directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making effectual such Agreement as shall be made between the Royal African Company of England and their Creditors."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have agreed to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons by Mr. Orlebar and Mr. Dormer:

To acquaint them, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Peirson's Bill.

The House (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of the Estate of William Peirson Esquire, deceased, for Payment of an Incumbrance thereupon; and a Debt due from the said William Peirson to Her Majesty, as he was Collector of the Customs at Plymouth."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Delawar reported from the Committee, "That they had been in Consideration of the said Bill; and had directed him to move, That it might be referred to a Select Committee, to examine the Allegations thereof; and report to the House.

Ordered, That the Consideration of the said Bill be committed to the Lords Committees to whom the Lord Bellew's Bill stands committed.

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Coggs' and Dann's Bill.

The House also (according to Order) was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual an Act passed in the Eighth Year of Her Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for vesting the Estate and Effects of John Coggs and John Dann, Goldsmiths and Copartners, in Trustees, for the speedier Payment of their Creditors; and for determining Differences thereupon; and for the more effectual vesting the Estates and Effects of Thomas Pitkin and Thomas Brerewood, still standing out in Trustees, for the Use and Benefit of the Creditors of the said John Coggs and John Dann."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Delawar reported from the said Committee, "That they had made some Progress in the Bill; and had directed him to move, that they may have Leave to fit again."

Ordered, That on Saturday next, at Twelve a Clock, this House shall be put into a Committee again, uppon the said Bill; and that the Creditors of the said Coggs and Dann may have a Copy of the Clause offered to the Committee on the Behalf of George Ball; and may be heard, by One Counsel, before their Lordships, in relation thereunto; as also may One Counsel be heard for the said George Ball at the same Time.

Adjourn.
