Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Henry Summers Esquire to make Sale of the Manor of Gaynes, and other Lands, in Huntingdonshire; and, in Lieu thereof, to settle Lands in Essex, of a greater Value, to the same Uses the said Huntingdonshire Estate was settled."

Upon reading the Petition of John White Esquire and Katherine his Wife, Respondents to the Petition and Appeal of John Cary Esquire; praying, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the said Appeal:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the One and Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven a Clock.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for securing the Freedom of Parliaments, by limiting the Number of Officers in the House of Commons."

The House was moved, "To reject this Bill."

Then the Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall be read a Second Time?"

It was Resolved in the Negative.

Rejected.

Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Bill, intituled, "An Act for securing the Freedom of Parliaments, by limiting the Number of Officers in the House of Commons," shall be, and is hereby, rejected.
