E. Roseberie takes the Oaths.

This Day Archibald Earl of Roseberie took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Garden versus Anderson et al.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Doctor James Garden, Professor of Divinity in the King's College of Aberdeen; complaining of an Interlocutory Sentence, or Decree, of the Lords of Council and Session in Scotland, of the One and Twentieth of July last, on the Behalf of Mr. David Anderson; and praying, "That the said David Anderson and the several Moderators of the respective Presbyteries of the Synod of Aberdeen may be ordered to answer the said Appeal; and that the said Sentence, or Decree, may be reversed:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said David Anderson and the Moderators of the said Presbyteries may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on or before Thursday the Eighth Day of April next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Queen to be attended with the Address.

The Lord Treasurer acquainted the House, "That the Lords with White Staves had (according to Order) waited on Her Majesty, to know what Time Her Majesty would please to appoint, for this House to attend Her with their Address; and that Her Majesty had been pleased to appoint this Day, at Half an Hour after One a Clock, at Her Palace of St. James's."
