Bp. of Winton, Cranston, & al. Petition referred to Judges.

Upon reading the Petition of Jonathan Lord Bishop of Winton, and Robert Cranston, and others, the Freeholders and Copyhold Tenants of the Manor of Bishop's Sutton, in the County of Southampton, and of the Warden and Fellows of Winton Colledge, Lords of the Manor of Ropley, in the said County, and their Tenants:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, referred to Mr. Justice Powys and Mr. Justice Blencowe (to whom the former Petition of this Kind stands referred); who are forthwith to summon all Parties concerned in the Bill; and, after hearing them, to report to the House the State of the Case, with their Opinion thereupon, under their Hands, and whether all Parties that may be concerned in the Consequences of the Bill have signed the Petition; and also that the Judges, having perused the Bill, do sign the same.

L. North & Grey, Privilege:

Upon Oath made, at the Bar of this House, by Peter Bardon, Derby Sulvyan, and Christopher Cale, "That Robert Hayes, Constable, did take into and detain in Custody Joseph Webb, Servant to the Right Honourable the Lord North & Grey, a Peer of this Realm, although the said Robert Hayes was informed that the said Joseph Webb was his Lordship's menial Servant, within the Time of Privilege of Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

Hayes attached, for arresting Webb, his Servant.

It is therefore Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said Robert Hayes, and bring him to the Bar of this House, to answer for his Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir David Mitchell, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, and every of them; and to all Mayors, Bailiffs, Sheriffs, Constables, and others whom it may concern, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

Sir C. Wren to give an Account of Places in Westminster Hall.

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Sir Christopher Wren, Her Majesty's Surveyor General, do cause as many Places to be prepared, on the Scaffold now erected in Westminster Hall, as can possibly be, without taking down what is already erected; and that he do, on Saturday next, at Eleven a Clock, give the House an Account what Number of Places there will be.

Sir A. Brand versus M, Kenzie.

Upon reading the Petition of George M, Kenzie, Respondent to the Petition and Appeal of Sir Alexander Brand, from the Court of Exchequer in Scotland; to which the Petitioner having answered, humbly prays a short Day for hearing thereof:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Wednesday next, at Eleven a Clock in the Forenoon.

Rider versus Baylie.

Whereas To-morrow was appointed for hearing the Cause wherein William Rider is Appellant, and Priscilla Baylie Respondent:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Monday the Twentieth Day of this Instant February, at Ten a Clock in the Forenoon.

Knight's Bill.

The Marquis of Dorchester reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for Sale of several Lands and Hereditaments of Isaac Knight Esquire, in the Counties of Nottingham and York, for Payment of the Portion of Hannah the Wife of Thomas Stones Esquire, and the Arrears of an Annuity payable to Dickenson Knight Gentleman; and for settling the Overplus to the same Uses to which the Lands to be sold do stand limited, and for charging other Lands with the said Annuity," as fit to pass, with some Amendments.

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the said Amendments.

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Ordered, That the Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Wigfall Petition rejected.

After reading, and considering, the Report of Mr. Justice Gould and Mr. Baron Bury, to whom was referred the Petition of John Wigfall and Frances his Wife; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition set forth:

It is Ordered, That the said Petition shall be, and is hereby, rejected.
