Concerning Subscription.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, An Act concerning Subscription.

To disunite the Parishes of Ashe and Deane.

This Day, the Bill for disuniting of the Parsonages of Ashe and Deane, within the County of South'ton, being presentative, and with Cure of Souls, was sent to the Lower House, by Sir John Tyndale and Mr. Dr. Amye. And by the same Messengers likewise was then sent to the said Lower House, the Bill to avoid the double Payment of Debts, for Consideration of the Amendments added by the Lords.

Proceedings concerning the Precedency between the Baronies of Le Despencer and Abergavenny, drawn out clearly, and ordered to be entered in the Journal.

The Lord Privy Seal declared to the House, That the Lords Committees thereunto formerly appointed have caused the whole Proceedings touching the Question of Precedency between the Baronies of Le Despencer and Bergevenny, as the same standeth entered in the Journal Book, to be drawn into one perfect and full Order; which his Lordship moved might be read, and, being approved by the Lords, to be entered in the said Book; which said Order was read accordingly, and by the Lords approved.

Lord Abergavenny to sell Lands for certain Uses.

It was likewise moved, and so Ordered, That a Bill exhibited into this House, intituled, An Act to enable Edward Nevill, Lord Bergevenny, and Sir Henry Nevill, Knight, his eldest Son, to alien certain Lands, for Payment of their Debts, and Advancement of their Daughters and younger Sons, might be re-committed; for that the Lords Committees, upon Opinion of Agreement between the Lord Bergevenny and Sir Frauncys Fane, Son and Heir Apparent to the Lady Le Despencer, did, at their last Meeting, peruse the same Bill but lightly; which was agreed, and the Bill re-delivered to the Lord Archbishop of Yorke, first of the Committees, to the End such Review may be had thereof by the former Committees, as is moved. And hereupon it was Ordered, That the Entering of the Order offered as aforesaid, on the Behalf of the Lady Le Despencer, touching the Point of Precedency, shall be respited until the last-mentioned Bill, for enabling the Lord Bergevenny and Sir Henry Nevill to alien certain Lands, be again brought into the House by the Lords Committees.

To cancel Leases made to the King, to try other Men's Titles.

Better Execution of Justice in the North Parts of England.

The Lords Committees in the Bill for the better Execution of Justice, and suppressing of criminal Offenders, in the North Parts of the Kingdom of Englande, are required to repair forthwith into the Little Chamber, near the Parliament Presence, and to take present Consideration of the said Bill.

Reformation of Alehouse-keepers.

Relief of Peace Officers in contentious Suits against them.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Ease in Pleading against troublesome and contentious Suits, prosecuted against Justices of the Peace, Mayors, Constables, and certain other His Majesty's Officers, for the lawful Execution of their Office.

To enlarge the Act 2° & 3° P. and M. for keeping Milch Kine, and rearing Calves.

Better Execution of Justice in the North Parts of England.

This Day, the Bill for the better Execution of Justice, and suppressing of Criminal Offenders, in the North Parts of the Kingdom of Englande, was brought into the House, by the Lord Archbishop of Yorke, first of the Committee, with a Proviso, by way of Amendment, added by the Lords Committees; and forasmuch as, their Lordships having spoken somewhat touching the said Amendment, Time served not now to argue the same, therefore the further Debate thereof is by the House referred to another Time.

Adjourn.
