Mixed or medley Broad Cloth, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to make an Act of the Tenth Year of Her late Majesty, intituled, "An Act for regulating, improving, and encouraging, of the Woollen Manufacture of mixed or medley Broad Cloth, and for the better Payment of the Poor employed therein," more effectual, for the Benefit of Trade in general; and also to render more effectual an Act of the Seventh Year of Her said Majuesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for the better ascertaining the Lengths and Breadths of Woollen Cloth made in the County of York."

Ordered, That the said Bill be read a Second Time on Thursday next.

King's Answer to Address.

The Lord Chancellor reported, "That this House did Yesterday attend His Majesty, and present to him their humble Address; and that His Majesty was pleased to return this most Gracious Answer thereunto; (videlicet,)

My Lords,

"I thank you for the zealous Affection you express towards Me, and the Assurances which you give Me in this Address; and you may depend on My punctually making good all those which I have given to My People, either on this or any former Occasion."

St. Albans, &c. Highways, Bill.

Ordered, That the Duke of Marlborough, Marquis of Dorchester, Earl of Godolphin, Earl of Sutherland, Earl of Bristol, Lord Haversham, and Lord Lumley, be added to the Committee, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for repairing the Highways, through the several Parishes of St. Michael, St. Albans, St. Peter, and Shenley Ridge, and South Mins, in the Counties of Hertford and Middlesex," stands committed.

Militia Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia for the Year One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifteen, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not re-paid."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill, with the Amendments, shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Panton's Bill.

The Order being read, for the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for explaining an Act, made in the Ninth Year of the Reign of King William the Third, intituled, An Act for vesting Part of the Estate of Thomas Panton Esquire in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts, and securing a Jointure to Mary his now Wife, and for other Purposes therein mentioned;" and to hear Counsel, upon the Petition of Anthony Boyce Gentleman and Charlott Maria Barkly Widow, before the Second Reading of the said Bill:

The House was informed, "That, the Counsel instructed by the Petitioners being this Day engaged in a Suit in Chancery, the said Petitioners were willing to defer their being heard, in relation to the said Bill, till the Committee should meet upon the same."

The said Bill was read a Second Time.

Evans & Ux. versus Jackson.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of John Evans and Mary his Wife; complaining of a Decree of the Court of Chancery, made the Twenty-fifth Day of April in the Tenth Year of the Reign of the late Queen Anne, and of an Order and subsequent Proceedings of the said Court, in certain Causes there depending, wherein John Jackson was Plaintiff, and Thomas Traunter, John Evans and Mary his Wife, were Defendants; and wherein the said John Evans and his Wife were Plaintiffs, and the said John Jackson and Thomas Traunter Defendants; and praying to be relieved, as to this House, in their great Wisdom, shall seem meet:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Jackson may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Friday the Fifth Day of August next.

E. Clanriceard versus Bourke, &c.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of the Right Honourable John Earl of Clanricarde of the Kingdom of Ireland, and Michael Lord Dunkellin his Eldest Son, from that Part of the Order of the Court of Chancery in the said Kingdom, made the Twenty-second of February 1714, on re-hearing of a Plea, in a Cause there depending, wherein the Appellants were Plaintiffs, and Colonel Thomas Bourke and Hellen Countess Dowager of Clanricarde Defendants, which allows the said Plea, against performing an Award made the Seventeenth of July 1688; praying, "That the same may be set aside; and, in order thereto, that the Defendants abovementioned may answer the said Appeal; and that the Service of the Order of this House on their Clerk in Court may be deemed good Service:"

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Thomas Bourke and Hellen Countess Dowager of Clanricarde may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and are hereby required to put in their Answer or respective Answers thereunto, in Writing, on or before Friday the Fifth Day of August next.

Daly & Ux. versus Lynch.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, for hearing the Cause wherein Denis Daly Esquire and Ellin his Wife are Appellants, and Mary Lynch Respondent:"

It is Ordered, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday next, at Eleven a Clock.

Waggoners, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to restrain all Waggoners, Carriers, and others, from drawing any Carriage with more than Five Horses in Length."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to the Consideration of the same Committee to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for explaining an Act, made in the Ninth Year of the Reign of King William the Third, intituled, An Act for vesting Part of the Estate of Thomas Panton Esquire in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of Debts, and securing a Jointure to Mary his now Wife, and for other Purposes therein mentioned," is committed.
