PRAYERS.

The House being informed, "That Sir Isaac Newton attended at the Door," he was called in; and delivered, at the Bar, pursuant to the Address of this House to His Majesty of Thursday last:

Account of Gold and Silver coined, delivered.

"An Account of the Silver Monies coined in the Four Years ending at Christmas 1699, by Weight."

Also, "An Account of the Gold and Silver Monies coined Yearly, from Christmas 1699 to Christmas 1717, by Weight."

And then he withdrew.

And the Title of the said Account being read:

Ordered, That the same do lie on the Table.

Other Papers delivered.

The Earl of Sunderland also, pursuant to the said Address, presented to the House several Papers; the Titles whereof were read, as follows:

"Copy of the Inspector General's Accompt; shewing the total Value of Foreign Coin and Bullion exported from this Kingdom, and to what Foreign Countries, in Seventeen distinct Years, from Christmas 1698 to Christmas 1715."

"Copy of a Representation to His Majesty, from the Lords Commissioners for Trade and Plantations, relating to the East India Company's Exports.

"Council of Trade, January 21st, 1717/8."

Ordered, That the said Papers do lie on the Table.

The House being informed, "That Mr. Kelsal, from the Treasury, attended;" he was called in; and delivered, at the Bar, pursuant to their Lordships Address on Friday last, a Paper, intituled,

"Sir Isaac Newton's State of the Gold and Silver Coin."

And then he withdrew.

And the said Title being read;

Ordered, That the said Paper do lie on the Table.

State of the Coin to be considered.

Whereas this Day was appointed, for the House to take into Consideration the State of the Coin of this Kingdom:

It is Ordered, That, on Thursday next, this House will take the same into Consideration.

Bp. Durham versus Sir H. Liddell:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of the Right Honourable Nathaniel Lord Crew, Lord Bishop of Durham; complaining of a Decree of the High Court of Chancery, made the Twenty-fourth Day of November 1716, and of several Orders and Proceedings of the said Court, in a certain Cause there depending, wherein Sir Henry Liddell Baronet was Plaintiff, and the Appellant and Richard Stonehewer Gentleman were Defendants; and in a Cause upon a Bill of Review, brought in the said Court, to reverse the said Decree; and praying, "That the same may be reversed:" As also upon the Answer of the said Sir Henry Liddell put in to the said Appeal; and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement affirmed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the said Decree, and the several Orders and Proceedings therein complained of, be, and are hereby, affirmed.

Respondents to Stevenson's Appeal, peremptorily to answer.

Whereas, by Order of this House on the Twentysecond of December last, Gilbert, Mary, and Eupham Fife, were required to answer the Appeal of Catherine Stevenson and her Husband, on or before the Thirtieth of the same Month; and, though they were duly served with the said Order, yet no Answer has been put in:

And the House being this Day moved, "That a peremptory Day may be appointed for answering:"

It is Ordered, That the said Respondents do put in their Answer or respective Answers to the said Appeal, peremptorily, on or before Tuesday the Fourth Day of February next.

Adjourn.
