Annesley's Report to be made.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee, to whom the Petition of Maurice Annesley Esquire was referred, which was appointed to be received this Day, be received on Saturday next; and the Lords summoned.

Causes to be heard but Three Days a Week.

Ordered, That the several Causes already appointed to be heard, and all other Causes to be appointed for hearing this Session, shall be heard on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays only; and that the Cause which stands to be heard as To-morrow be heard on Monday next; and the several other Causes (excepting that between Moor and others and Mattocks and others, which stands for an Hearing peremptorily on Wednesday next) be removed, to come on in Course, according to this Method.

Lords added to Mrs. Lyon's Committee.

Ordered, That all the Lords this Day present, which are not already of the Committee to whom the Petition of Katherine Lyon stands referred, be added to the said Committee.

Burk versus Morgan, heard in Part.

After hearing Counsel in Part, to argue the Errors assigned upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Richard Burk is Plaintiff, and Richard Morgan Defendant:

It is Ordered, That this House will hear Counsel further in this Cause on Friday next, at Eleven a Clock.

D. of Kent's Bill, Committee to receive a Clause in.

The House being moved, "That an Instruction be given to the Committee, to whom the Bill relating to the Duke of Kent's Estate stands referred, to receive a Clause, to enable the said Duke to exchange certain Lands, in Chertsey, in the County of Surrey, contained in the Settlements in the Bill mentioned, for other Lands lately by him purchased, of a greater Value, in Lieu thereof; the said other Lands to be thereby actually settled to the same Uses:"

It is Ordered, That the said Committee be, and are hereby, empowered to receive a Clause for that Purpose, if they think fit; and that the Judges who had the said Bill under their Consideration do attend the said Committee.

Sir G Downing, Leave for a Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of the Judges to whom the Petition of Sir George Downing Baronet, and Dame Mary Eldest Daughter of Sir William Forrester, was referred; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned.

It is Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, pursuant to the said Petition and Report.

Oxwick versus Mason.

Upon reading the Petition and Appeal of Robert Oxwick Gentleman and Elizabeth Simpson Widow; complaining of a Decree of the Court of Exchequer, made the 17th Day of July 1712; and also of Two several Orders of the same Court, of the 30th of June 1715, and 19th of February 1716; and likewise a Decree, on re-hearing the said Cause, the 4th of July 1717, and the Proceedings thereupon; in certain Causes, wherein William Mason Clerk, Rector of Yate, in the County of Gloucester, was Plaintiff, and the Appellant Oxwick Desendant ; and wherein the said Mason was Plaintiff, and both the Appellants Defendants; and praying, "That the said Decrees, Orders, and Proceedings, may be reversed; and that the Modus insisted on by the Appellants may be allowed; or that the Matters in Difference may be finally settled by a fair and indifferent Trial at Law, and the Appellants relieved:"

It is Ordered, That the said William Mason may have a Copy of the said Appeal; and shall and is hereby required to put in his Answer thereunto, in Writing, on or before Wednesday the Twelfth Day of February next.

Bertie's Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report from the Judges, to whom the Petition of the Honourable James Bertie Esquire and his Children was referred and re-referred ; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned :

It is Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, pursuant to the said Petition and Report.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the better enabling the Honourable James Bertie Esquire to raise Portions for his Younger Children."

Committee of Coin and Plate revived, and Powers given.

Ordered, That the Committee appointed Yesterday, to consider of proper Heads for a Bill, to be brought into this House, for the more effectual preventing the melting down of the Coins of this Kingdom; and also to prepare a Bill, for making the Silver Plate of the same Fineness with the current Silver Coin of this Kingdom, or a Clause to be added to the former Bill, as their Lordships shall think convenient, be revived; and meet on Friday next; and that the said Committee have Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records; as likewise such of the Judges to attend their Lordships, as they shall think fit.

Sir G. Downing's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for making more effectual certain Articles of Agreement, between Sir George Downing Baronet, and Dame Mary Eldest Daughter of Sir William Forester Knight, and her Trustees."

D. of Newcastle's Bill.

After reading, and considering, the Report of the Judges to whom was referred the Petition of the Duke of Newcastle, and the Bailiffs and Freemen of the Town of Kingston upon Thames, in the County of Surrey; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, for the Purposes in the Petition mentioned :

It is Ordered, That Leave be given to bring in a Bill, pursuant to the said Petition and Report.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Manor of Esher Waterville, and other Lands therein mentioned, in the most Noble Thomas Holles Duke of Newcastle and his Heirs, in Consideration of Rent-charges to be issuing out of the same, and other Lands, in Lieu thereof, to the Use of the Corporation of Kingston upon Thames, in the County of Surrey, in Trust for the Poor of the said Town."
