Dr. Manwaring to make his Submission.

The Submission to be made by Dr. Manwaringe, penned by the Committee, was read 1a et 2a vice, and allowed. And Manwaringe Ordered to be brought hither To-morrow Morning.

His Majesty's Answer, touching the Title to the Petition of Right, reported.

The Lord Keeper reported, That he had shewn unto His Majesty the Title to the Petition of Right, propounded by the Commons; and that His Majesty had conceived another Title for the same, not much differing from the other, which was read, in hæc verba; videlicet,

"The Petition exhibited to His Majesty, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, concerning divers Rights and Liberties of the Subjects; with the King's Majesty's Royal Answer thereunto in full Parliament." Which was approved of by the Lords.

And his Lordship reported further, That His Majesty left it to the House, whether this Title should be added in the Print only, or to be indorsed on the Petition also.

And it was Agreed by the Lords, To be indorsed on the Petition, and added in the Print also.

For a present Conference, between a Committee of Twelve of this House, and a proportionable Number of theirs, touching His Majesty's Answer to the Title propounded for the Petition of Right.

Conference reported.

At these Lords Return from the Conference, the Earl Marshal reported, That the Commons had received the Title, and would report the same to their House, and return an Answer; and that, being returned, the Commons returned Thanks to the Lords, and did agree unto the same, in such Manner as the Lords had; and desired, that the King's Answer in French might be printed in English also, for the better Satisfaction of the Vulgar; whereunto the Lords Agreed.

Earl of Arundel to answer in the House of Commons, as a Farmer of some of the King's Customs.

The Earl of Arundell hath Leave to answer in the House of Commons, as a Farmer of some of the King's Customs, unto some Complaints made there against him, concerning Impositions on Currants.

Earl of Sussex's Privilege. Coore discharged.

This Day John Coore, Servant to the Earl of Sussex, was brought to the Bar, by Habeas Corpus cum Causa, etc. granted 18 Junii. The Writ was read, and he set at Liberty. And the Sheriffs of London discharged for the same.

De Gerbier's Naturalization.

The Bill concerning the Naturalizing of Balthasar de Gerbier was sent to the Commons, by Mr. Attorney General and Sir Edward Clerke.
