Salop Gaol, &c. Bill.

The Lord Scarsdale reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for building a new Gaol and House of Correction for the County of Salop, and the several Boroughs, Towns Corporate, Liberties, Franchises, and Places, within the same; and for explaining and amending an Act made in the Twenty-third Year of His present Majesty, intituled, "An Act for building a new Shire Hall and Guildhall for the County of Salop and the Town of Shrewsbury, in the said County, and for other Purposes therein mentioned:" was committed, That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Birstall Road Bill.

The Lord Scarsdale made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing and amending an Act of the Fifth Year of His present Majesty, for amending and widening the Road from the Sign of the Coach and Horses in Birstall, to the Turnpike Road at Nunbrook, and from Bradley Lane to the Town of Huddersfield, in the West Riding of the County of York," was committed.

Bawtry Roads Bill.

The Lord Scarsdale made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enlarging the Term and Powers of so much of an Act passed in the Fifth Year of the Reign of His present Majesty King George the Third, intituled, An Act for repairing and widening the Roads from Bawtry Bridge, in the County of Nottingham, to Hainton, in the County of Lincoln, and from North Willingham to the North End of the Lane betwixt Dexthorpe and Langton, and from West Raisin to Pilford Bridge, and from the great Road near Bishop Bridge to Bishop Norton Common, and from the Hamlet of Morton to Epworth, and from Haxey Field to the Trent at Kinnald Ferry, in the said County of Lincoln," as relates to the First and Second Districts of Roads therein described," was committed.

Chatteris Ferry Roads Bill.

The Lord Scarsdale made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enlarge the Term and Powers of Two Acts made in the Fifth and Seventh Years of His present Majesty, for repairing certain Roads therein mentioned, leading from Chatteris Ferry to the Town of Wisbeach Saint Peter's, in the Isle of Ely, and other Places in the said Acts mentioned," was committed.

Bray Enclosure Bill.

The Lord Scarsdale also reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing certain Open and Common Fields, a Common Meadow, and Common Pasture and Commonable Lands, within the Parish of Bray, in the County of Berks," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents to the Satisfaction of the Committee, and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Upper Wallop Enclosure Bill.

The Lord Scarsdale made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing the several Common Fields, Common Downs, Common Pastures, and other Commonable Places, in the several Parishes of Upper Wallop, Hursbourn, Pryors, and Tufton, in the County of Southampton," was committed.

Donaldson et al. against Forbes.

The Answer of Arthur Forbes of Culloden Esquire, to the Appeal of Robert Donaldson and others, was this Day brought in.

Cuninghame against Cunningham et al:

After hearing Counsel, as well Yesterday as this Day, upon the Petition and Appeal of William Cuninghame of Lainshaw Esquire, complaining of Two Interlocutors of the Lords of Session in Scotland, of the 17th of June and 5th of July 1785; and praying, "That the same might be reversed, varied, or amended, or that the Appellant might have such other Relief in the Premises as to this House in their Lordships' great Wisdom should seem just;" as also upon the Answer of Henry Drumlanrig Cuningham and others, Creditors on the Estate of Lainshaw, put in to the said Appeal, and due Consideration had of what was offered on either Side in this Cause:

Interlocutors affirmed.

It is Ordered and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal be and is hereby dismissed this House, and that the said Interlocutors therein complained of be and the same are hereby affirmed.

He was called in and delivered at the Bar, pursuant to an Act of the 24th Year of His present Majesty,

"A Compleat and perfect List of the Offices, Places, and Employments, as well Civil as Military, at the Settlement or Residency of Fort Marlborough in the East Indies, as in the Judgement of the Court of Directors of the East India Company, will be adequate to the Support, Safety, Defence, and Security thereof."

And then he withdrew.

Sir J. Grant against Grove et al.

Upon reading the Petition and Cross-Appeal of Sir James Grant of Grant Baronet, complaining of certain Parts of an Interlocutor of the Lords of Session in Scotland, of the 11th of March 1786; and praying, "That the same may be reversed, varied, or altered, in so far as complained of, or that the Appellant may have such other Relief in the Premises as to this House in their Lordships' great Wisdom shall seem just; and that Martha Grove and the other objecting Creditors, may be required to answer the said Appeal:"

V. Gallway's Estate Bill.

The Lord Hawke reported from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Estates in the County of Nottingham entailed by the Will of the Right Honourable Henry William Arundell, Viscount Gallway, in Trustees to be sold, and for laying out the Money arising therefrom, in the Purchase of Estates situate in the West Riding of the County of York, to be settled to the same Uses," was committed: "That they had considered the said Bill, and examined the Allegations thereof, which were found to be true; that the Parties concerned had given their Consents to the Satisfaction of the Committee, and that the Committee had gone through the Bill, and directed him to report the same to the House, without any Amendment."

Ordered, That the said Bill be engrossed.

Harvington Enclosure Bill.

The Lord Hawke made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing the Open and Common Fields and all other Commonable Land within the Parish of Harvington in the County of Worcester," was committed.

Tichwell Enclosure Bill.

The Lord Hawke also made the like Report from the Lords Committees, to whom the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing the Open Fields, Meadows, Pastures, and other Commonable Lands and Grounds within the Parish of Tichwell in the County of Norfolk," was committed.

Flookersbrook Bridge Road Bill:

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for amending, widening, and keeping in Repair the Road from Flookersbrook Bridge, within the Township of Newton near Chester, to the South End of Wilderspool Causeway, and from the Market Town of Frodsham to Ashton Lane End in the Township of Ashton in the County of Chester."

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act for making and maintaining a navigable Canal from the Stourbridge Canal Navigation to the River Severn, near to the City of Worcester; and for varying certain Rates or Dues granted to the Company of Proprietors of the Stourbridge Canal Navigation; and for removing Shoals in the River Severn between the Cities of Worcester and Gloucester; and for other Purposes therein mentioned;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Sheffield Vicarage Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Wilberforce and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable the Vicar of the Parish and Parish Church of Sheffield, in the County of York, to grant Leases of the Glebe Land, and otherwise improve the Estate belonging to the said Vicarage;" and to acquaint this House, That they have agreed to the same, without any Amendment.

Margate Play house Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. James Luttrell and others:

With a Bill, intituled, "An Act to enable His Majesty to licence a Play-house within the Town and Port of Margate, in the Isle of Thanet, in the County of Kent, under certain Restrictions therein limited;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Methley Enclosure Bill: King's Consent signified.

The Lord Osborne acquainted the House, "That His Majesty having been informed of the Contents of the Bill, intituled, "An Act for dividing and enclosing the Commons, Common Fields, Wastes, and other Commonable Lands and Grounds within the Manor and Parish of Methley, in the County of York," was pleased to consent (as far as His Majesty's Interest is concerned) that their Lordships may proceed therein as they shall think fit."
