Message from the H. C. with a Declaration;

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Rob't Pye and others, concerning these Particulars:

1. To desire Concurrence in a Declaration to be published through the Kingdom.

to expedite Two Ordinances;

2. To desire Expedition to the Ordinance concerning Sir Wm. Waller, and the Ordinance concerning Gunpowder.

and for a Conference on the Dutch Papers.

3. To desire a Free Conference, touching the late Conference, touching the Grounds of Peace and the Dutch Papers.

The Answer returned was:

Answer.

That their Lordships will give a Free Conference in the Painted Chamber, as is desired; touching the rest of the Particulars, this House will send an Answer by Messengers of their own.

Ordinance for Tonnage and Poundage.

Next, the Ordinance concerning Tonnage and Poundage was read, with a Proviso made by the Committee, concerning Creation-money, and Impost to Peers of this Kingdom, That the Creation-money and the Arrears may be paid, and the Impost for the future.

Sent to the H. C.

And this House agreed to the said Ordinance, with the said Proviso; and it was sent down, by Mr. Serjeant Whitfield and Mr. Page, to desire their Concurrence therein.

Ordinance for recruiting the Lord General's Army.

Next, the Ordinance for recruiting the Lord General's Army was read, and committed to the Committee of the whole House, to be considered of on Monday Morning next.

The Lords went to the Conference.

Adjourn.

The House was adjourned until Monday Morning next, at 9 of the Clock.
