This Day Nathaniel Lord Scarsdale took the Oaths, and also took and subscribed the Oath of Abjuration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Leys & Co. v. Ld. Forbes et al.

After hearing Counsel, in Part, in the Cause wherein Leys, Masson and Company are Appellants, and James Ochoncar Lord Forbes, and others, are Respondents:

It is Ordered, That the further Hearing of the said Cause be put off 'till To-morrow, Ten o'Clock.

Sir M. P. Stewart v. Porterfield.

Ordered, That the Cause wherein Sir Michael Porterfield Shaw Stewart Baronet is Appellant, and James Corbet Porterfield Esquire is Respondent, be heard by Counsel at the Bar To-morrow.

Baking Trade (Ireland) Bill referred to a Select Com ee under Standing Order No. 198.

The Order of the Day being read for the Second Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to regulate the Baking Trade in Ireland;"

Ordered, That the said Order be discharged.

Ordered, That the said Bill be referred to a Select Committee to enquire into the Expediency or Inexpediency of the Regulations therein contained, pursuant to the Standing Order No. 198; and to report to the House.

Ordered, That an humble Address be presented to His Majesty, to request that His Majesty will be graciously pleased to Order that there be laid before this House, "A Copy of the Third Report of the Commissioners appointed by His Majesty for the Purpose of enquiring into the Proceedings in Suits in the Superior Courts of Common Law, and the Process, Practice and Pleading therein, and other Matters connected therewith."

Ordered, That the said Address be presented to His Majesty by the Lords with White Staves.
