Be it Ordained, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, That the Lines of Communication about the Cities of London and Westminster and the Borough of Southwarke, and the Parts adjacent, and all the Forts upon and about the same, be forthwith slighted and demolished; and that the Committee of the Militia of London, settled by Ordinance of Parliament this present Second Day of September, do see this Ordinance put in Execution with all possible Expedition; and that they do receive Advice from Sir Thomas Fairefax in the Way of their Proceedings in this Service.
