Two-thirds of certain deliquents' estates and fines to be for payment of soldiers.
The Lords and Commons in this present Parliament assembled, taking into consideration the great arrears of pay due to the Souldiery who have faithfully served the Parliament, and being resolved to give security for the same, doe Ordaine, and be it hereby Ordained by the Lords and Commons, That towards the payment thereof, two third parts of all the Lands and Hereditaments of all the Delinquents mentioned or comprehended in the three first qualifications of the Proposition for Delinquents sent to the King in the Isle of Wight, not formerly disposed of, or the Fines that shall be set upon those Delinquents by the said Houses, shall be paid in to the Treasurers at Warres to be disposed of for the purposes aforesaid, in such manner as both Houses of Parliament shall think fit.
