Francis Dingley of Clifford's Inn, London, gent v Charles Ghest of the city of Worcester
June 1636 - February 1637
Abstract
Dingley complained that Ghest had spoken scandalous words. Proceedings were under way by June 1636, but in February 1637 Ghest was being penalised for non-appearance. No indication of sentence survives.

Summary of proceedings
Dr Duck acted as counsel. There were proceedings for this cause on 3 June and 8 November 1636. Ghest was required to appear on 28 January 1637. Penalty was reserved for Ghest on 11 February for non appearance, and there were further proceedings on 16 February.
Notes
A Charles Ghest of Broadwas appeared in the Visitation of 1634, son of Edmund Ghest and Jane, daughter of John Tripp of co. Kent. Charles married Penelope, daughter of Thomas Chamberlain of Broadwas. Francis Dingley did not appear in the Visitations of Worcester of London.
