263 GRIMSTON V COWDALL

Henry Grimston of Harwich, co. Essex, gent v Abraham Cowdall

October 1638

Abstract

Proceedings survive from October-November 1638, but they do not show either the cause or result of Grimston's complaint against Cowdall.

Summary of proceedings

Dr Duck acted as counsel for Grimston and Dr Eden for Cowdall. On 20 October and 6 November Dr Duck was required to send to the commissioners.

Notes

This was probably Henry Grimston, the third son of Sir Harbottle Grimston of Bradfield, co. Essex, knt and bart, and Elizabeth, daughter of Ralph Copinger of co. Kent, esq, mentioned in the Visitation of 1612.
