John of Yemeseie, pl., appoints as his attorney Robert of Gonnebi v. Margery, relict of Peter of Bolyngtone and John of Stanstede, executors of the will of the said Peter, in a plea of debt.

Pledges taken from John of Fyncham at the suit of William of Walpol for 17s. recovered against him, viz. 3 gold clasps, valued by the oath of David of Enefeld and Thomas le Poter, goldsmiths, at 20s. John is ordered to acquit the said pledges before the quindene, otherwise they will be delivered to the aforesaid William.
patria A jury of the venue of Walebroke is summoned to recognize whether Peter of Lodelawe on Thursday after Ascension Day, 13 Edward II [15th May, 1320], assaulted Walter de la Haye, skinner, at Walebroke, to his damage £10. Peter is mainprised by Hugh of Hereford, pelter, and Thomas of Redynge, pelter, to come to court to hear the verdict.
patria A jury of the venue of the par. of St. Giles without Creplegate near le Redcrouche is summoned to recognize whether Stephen, son of Vincent of Storteforde, on the feast of St. Mark, 13 Edward II [25th April, 1320] entered with force and arms the house of David Scot and there assaulted him to his damage £100. Stephen is mainprised by John of Krekele, cordwainer, and Hugh of Brandone, goldsmith, to await the verdict.
William of Oxford was attached to answer Adam of Eytone, chaplain, in a plea of covenant. The pl. complained that whereas on Thursday before Christmas 13 Edward II [20th December, 1319] at Wodestrete the said William-
[p. 50] -covenanted with him to keep a certain sow of his, worth 6s., retaining half the issue, the said sow farrowed three times while in his custody, but he refused either to return the sow or to deliver the due number of her pigs, to the damage of the pl. 40s. William comes etc. [entry incomplete]

Agnes, wife of William le Chaundeler, with the consent of William her husband, waged her law v. John of Kyngestone concerning the charge that she owed him 3s. 6d. of a debt of 13s. for barley malt sold her at the pavement next the Friars Minor on Monday after the feast of All Hallows, 12 Edward II [6th November, 1318].

William le Copour waged his law v. Henry of Bifold concerning the charge that he owes him 18d. for leather sold him at Cheap ['in foro Londoni'] at divers tunes between Easter, 10 Edward II [1317], and the Michaelmas following. He is given a day at the quindene to make his law.

David of Totteburi was attached to answer Simon le Botouner in a plea of account. The pl. complains that the def. received from him at Holebourne on Sunday the vigil of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin, 11 Edward II [14th August, 1317], 17s. to trade with to his use between the said Sunday and the feast of Michaelmas next following, rendering account of the same at the expiration of the said term; and he produces the bond made between them.
Afterwards, as he alleges, the def. refused to render account of the sum above-named. David comes and denies that bond produced is his deed, and thereupon he puts himself upon his country. Therefore it is ordered that a jury of the venue be summoned, and the def. is mainprised by Nicholas le Hurlere and Hugh Hereford. Afterwards the jury comes and returns a verdict for the def. Therefore the pl. is in mercy, and the def. sine die.

John of Fifede waged his law v. William le Despenser that he did not agree to return to the said William 12d. which he received from him for the hire ['allocacio'] of a horse on Friday before the feast of All Hallows, 13 Edward II [26th October, 1319].
Simon le Fourbour was attached to answer John of Bromptone, chaplain, in a plea of the detention of chattels. The pl. complains that on the Tuesday called Hokeday, 13 Edward II [1319], he handed to Robert, servant ['valletus'] of the said Simon, in his shop in Langebourne ward, a knife and a razor to be sharpened, the which knife and razor the def. afterwards refused to return. Simon comes and denies etc.
