Private Secretary to Second Secretary 1812-70

Provision was made for an annual allowance of £50 to be paid to the Clerk acting as Private Clerk or Private Secretary to the Second Secretary in 1812. (fn. 1) The post was discontinued in 1821 but revived in 1845. (fn. 2)
