Hello

I have the following academic reference, but I am not sure what it refers to exactly:

Stats of Realm, 1 R.II., cap. 6

I am hoping it refers to the Statute of Labourers (or, rather, the preamble to that statute) of the fourteenth-century.

Could anyone throw any light on this, please?

Regards

Steve

The reference refers to the published Statutes of the Realm, for the first year of the reign of Richard II. These are not (I think) available online as yet, so this would necessitate a library visit. They are quite widely available in the university libraries. The date doesn't look right for the Statute of Labourers, however.
