Herbert CLARKE, Gentleman, of Uxbridge, died 13 July 1808, leaving an estate valued at 10,000 pounds. His former home was 55 Drury Lane, London, and his former occupation was button manufacturer.
His wife (d.1807) was Elizabeth PUTNAM, believed to be of Chesham, Bucks.
Herbert's siblings were Jonas CLARKE (d. before March 1807); Elizabeth HARPER; and possibly Sarah CLARKE (alive in 1758).
Does anyone have further information on Herbert CLARKE or his button-making business?
