PRAYERS.

Hertingfordbury Parsonage.

AN Order for Sequestration of the Parsonage of Herting fordbury, was this Day read; and re-committed, till the House be satisfied of the Certainty of the Person that is Rector there.

Charge of the Army, &c.

An Abstract of the Account of the Charge and Payment of his Excellency's Army, for Fourteen Days, was this Day read.

Ordered, That Two thousand Thirty-six Pounds One Shilling Eight-pence be forthwith paid, out of the Monies at Haberdashers Hall, to the Treasurers at Guildhall, London; and by them forthwith paid to the Treasurer at Wars; to pay Part of the Fortnight's Arrear, remaining upon the last Payment of the Army under the immediate Command of the Lord General: And

Ordered, That the Commissioners of the Excise do forthwith pay, unto the Treasurer at Wars, the Sum of One thousand Pounds, to pay Part of the Fortnight's Arrear remaining upon the last Payment of the Army under the immediate Command of the Lord General.

The Lords Concurrence to be desired herein: And to be carried up by Sir Gilb. Gerard.

Arrears of Assessments.

Ordered, That Mr. Trenchard do make Report of the Arrears in the Counties, of the Two Months weekly Assessments.

Gloucester Garison.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee of Gloucester do bring in an Ordinance for applying of Six hundred Pounds of Sir F. Willoughbye's Estate, a Delinquent to the Parliament, to be employed for the Garison of Glocester.

Loan from Excise.

Ordered, That Sir Gilbert Gerard, Mr. Recorder, Sir Philip Stapilton, do treat with the Commissioners of the Excise, upon the Loan of Twenty thousand Pounds, to be repaid at Six Months End.

Billet in Sussex.

Ordered, That Mr. Cawley do desire Sir Wm. Waller, that, upon the Receipt of Monies, the Billet of the County of Sussex may be paid.

Provisions of Corn.

Ordered, That Mr. Recorder do bring in an Ordinance to enable Citizens to make Provisions of Corn; always provided, that Regard be had to the Statutes made and provided in that Behalf.

Security of Cheshire, &c.

Sir Wm. Brereton, Mr. Pierepont, Sir Tho. Middleton, Mr. Noble, Sir Jo. Corbett, Sir Jo. Clottworthy, Sir Jo. Trevor, Mr. Recorder, Mr. Ashhorst, Lord Lisle, Sir Tho. Barrington, Sir H. Mildmay, Mr. Millington, Mr. Rolle, Colonel Long, Sir H. Vane sen. Sir Jo. Curson, Sir Rob. Harley, Mr. Crewe;

This Committee is appointed to consider of the State and Condition of the Counties of Cheshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, Shropshire, and the Parts thereabouts; and to consider of the best Means they can provide, for the Security and Safety of those Counties; and to prevent the coming over of the Irish; or any Devastation or Spoil that shall be attempted to those Counties, by Prince Rupert, or any other: And are to meet To-morrow, at Three post Meridiem, in the Exchequer Chamber: And have Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Records, &c.

Marquis of Ormond.

Resolved, &c. That the Marquis of Ormond, of the Kingdom of Ireland, shall be forthwith accused of High Treason, for levying War against the King and Parliament, and adhering to the Rebels in Ireland.

Sir Phil. Stapilton is appointed to carry up this Accusation; and the Order concerning no Obedience to be given to the Commissions, from the Marquis of Ormond.-

Money due to Delinquents.

Ordered, That upon Information to Mr. Speaker, by Sir Tho. Middleton, of Twelve hundred Pounds due and payable to Delinquents, whose Estates are sequestrable, by Ordinance of Parliament, and not yet discovered, That Mr. Speaker shall grant his Warrants for any such Persons, or for the seizing of the said Monies.-

Marquis of Ormond.

Ordered, That no Commissions or Orders sent, or to be sent, from the Marquis of Ormond, impeached of High Treason, for levying War against the King and Parliament, and adhering to the Rebels in Ireland, shall be of any Force; or observed by the Armies in Ireland, adhering to the King and Parliament, and opposing the Cessation: And that both Houses will justify and maintain them that do oppose any Power derived from the said Marquis of Ormond; and do expect, that all Officers and Soldiers in those Parts should take Notice hereof.

Message from Lords.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Edw. Leeche and Dr. Aylett;

The Lords have returned an Ordinance they received from this House, concerning the receiving the Accounts of this Kingdom: Which they do agree unto, with some Amendments; which they have sent down, for the Concurrence of this House: And that they are now in Debate of Matters of great Importance; which they intend to communicate unto this House, and therefore desire, that this House would sit awhile.

A Message from the Lords, by Serjeant Whitfield and Dr. Aylett;

The Lords have passed an Ordinance in their House; in which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

The Ordinance was intituled, An Ordinance for the appointing a Committee of both Houses of Parliament, to join with the Committees and Commissioners of Scotland, for the better managing the Affairs of both Nations in the Common Cause, according to the Ends expressed in the late Covenant and Treaty between the Two Nations of England and Scotland.

The Ordinance was read the First time.
