Westminster.
To all sheriffs, mayors, bailiffs, ministers and lieges of the king to whom etc. Order to arrest all whom they shall find making inhibitions, citations, appeals, processes, notifications and public instruments to the prejudice of the king's right of presentation to the prebend of Sydelesham in the cathedral church of Cicestre, or causing undue disturbance to Thomas Buteler the king's clerk touching his lawful possession thereof, with letters, writings etc. whatsoever to the prejudice of the king and crown, and to cause them forthwith to come before the king and council, that by advice of the council the king may take order for their punishment; as lately the king collated the said Thomas to that prebend, being void and in his gift, and he was admitted, and is in possession thereof; and now the king has learned that certain men, striving to impair his right and disturb the said Thomas, in contempt of the king have made and cease not to make inhibitions etc. as aforesaid.
