To the sheriff of Warrewyk. Writ of supersedeas omnino, by mainprise of William de Foxton citizen and pepperer of London and William de Faryngton of Cheshire, in favour of John Eukeston of Daventre at suit of John Hawe, executor of Rose de Arderne, for debt.

To the sheriff of Cantebrigge. Writ of supersedeas, and order by mainprise of John Rome clerk, William Outeby clerk of Leycestershire and Richard Chamberleyn of Cambridgeshire to set free John Everard of Hynton, if taken at suit of the king and Robert Beilham for leaving the said Robert's service at Cantebrigge before the term agreed.
Hugh Levenoth of Great Craule to Robert Garton and Henry Maupas clerks. Bond in 10 marks, payable at Craule on the feast of St. Peter's Chains next. Dated London, 13 June 10 Richard II.

To the keepers of the passage in the port of Orewelle. Order to suffer all merchants of the king's friendship, who will take over any merchandise or victuals except wine and corn to foreign parts of his friendship, to lade the same in ships in that port and after payment of customs, subsidies etc. thereupon due to take the same over, notwithstanding the king's command to cause proclamation to be made that no man under pain of forfeiture should there lade wool, wine or other merchandise to be taken to foreign parts without his special licence; as it was and is his intent that all such merchandise and victuals, except wine and corn, should after payment aforesaid be taken over to any such parts. Memorandum that on 20 May 10 Richard II, with assent of the justices, serjeants and others of the council learned in the law, Thomas bishop of Ely the chancellor delivered Thomas de Metham knight, lately imprisoned in the Tower of London, to Matthew Gourney knight of Somerset, Ralph de Lumleye knight of Cumberland, John Markham of Notynghamshire and John Kirkeby of Westmorland in bail, body for body, to have him in chancery on the morrow of St. John Baptist next in order to receive what shall be adjudged concerning him; of a mainprise under a pain of 1,000l. by them made for him, that he shall until that day do or procure no hurt or harm to any of the people, and especially to Stephen de Falle, William Gascoigne and John Woderoue; and of an oath of the said Thomas for his good behaviour.
Memorandum that on 23 May, with (like) assent, the chancellor delivered John Malsham chaplain, John Deyville, John Pereson, Robert Clerke and William Dalton, servants of the said Thomas, to the said mainpernors in bail, body for body, to have them in chancery on the aforesaid day; and of a (like) mainprise made for the said servants.
Richard Hykebydde citizen and horner of London, son and heir of John Hykebydde of Tyburne and Isabel his wife, to John son of John Bryan and Richard Sandewelle of Wycombe, their heirs and assigns. Quitclaim with warranty of all the lands in Harleston within the parish of Willesdon co. Middlesex which were of John Prentys, reciting a charter thereof made to the said John son of John Brian and Richard Sandwelle by John Herberd 'gardiner' of London, son of John Herberd 'gardiner.' Witnesses: John Erliche of Harleston the elder, John Erliche the younger, Henry Drayton of the same, Nicholas Reygner 'cordewaner' of London. Dated Harleston, the feast of Corpus Christi 10 Richard II.

To the treasurer and the barons of the exchequer. Writ of supersedeas until Michaelmas next in respect of their demand against Agnes de Berton and the sheriff of Warrewyk to answer for the issues since the outlawry of John de Northburgh parson of Chestreton for felony of a messuage and one virgate of land in Bisshopes and Ichyngton (sic) co. Warrewyk, which were taken into the king's hand by John Ray late escheator, and on 23 February 8 Richard II committed by the king to the keeping of the said Agnes from the date of that outlawry until debate should be had in the king's court whether the same ought to pertain to the king or to her; as a plea thereupon is yet pending without debate.

William de Horneby chirographer and Matthew de Sotheworth to William de Burgh parson of Weryngton and John Worcestre chaplain, proctor general of the said parson. Recognisance for 40l., to be levied etc. in Lancashire.
Memorandum of defeasance, upon condition that William de Horneby parson of St. Michael upon Wyre, Gilbert de Sotheworth chaplain, William de Horneby chirographer and the said Matthew or their assigns pay to the said John and William de Burgh, or to his proctor for the time being, the farm of his said church, according to indentures made between them and the said John.

Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 18 June 10 Richard II by William Stoket of Talleworth, Richard Gattyn of Dunsfold, John Hunte of Potehere, all of Surrey, Robert Kentebury of Westminster of Middlesex, Richard Brendwode of London 'draper' and William Wysebeche of Cambridgeshire for Reynold Halle clerk, that he shall not depart to foreign parts without special licence of the king, nor there make any suit or attempt which may tend to contempt or prejudice of the king or hurt of the people, or send any thither for the purpose.
Memorandum of an undertaking under a pain of 200l., made in chancery on the morrow of Ascension day this year by John de Wychforde, and of a mainprise under a like pain that day made for him by William Wilton, Hugh Torald, Thomas Teyntrere, Robert Fraunces and John Gaweyn the elder of Wiltesir, that no hurt or harm shall happen by him or by his procurement or aid to Peter de Barton clerk, John Boor, Edward Helyoun chaplain, Roger de Neton and Walter Cherleton executors of Master Robert de Wychforde clerk; and recognisance to the king by the said John de Wychford and his mainpernors for the aforesaid sum, to be levied etc. in Wiltesir if any such hurt or harm shall happen.

Memorandum of a mainprise under a pain of 100l., made in chancery 20 June 10 Richard II by William Couley, John Gyldysborgh, Richard Buffarde and Richard Glendoun of Norhamptonshire, John Babelake and John Wodeforde of Oxfordshire and William Rothewelle of London for Henry Hornby, Walter Bachiler, John Hardewyke, John Bachiler and Ralph Fyssher, that they shall do or procure no hurt or harm to the abbot of St. James by Norhampton, the canons his fellows, their men or servants, and shall make or procure there no routs or unlawful assemblies whereby the peace may be broken, insurrection made or the people disturbed; and further that they shall make no distress upon the abbot by his cattle lying and depasturing in a place in the town of Duston appointed for common of pasture for the tenants of the town, until de bate be had of a plea pending between the parties in the king's court before the justices of the Bench, or the process be duly determined.
