Woodstock.
To John de Ravenser keeper of the hanaper of chancery, or to his representative. Order to deliver to the king's serjeant Couns Piper 'le pier,' quit of the fee for the seal which pertains to the king, letters patent whereby the king has granted him for life wages of 4½d. a day of the issues or farm of the city of London, to be taken by the hands of the sheriffs. To Roger de Sapurton warden of the Flete prison, or to his representative there. Order by mainprise of Richard Sergeaux knight of Cornwall, John Folke parson of Norton co. Somerset, Thomas de la Mare of Somerset and Robert Davy of London 'peyntour' to set free William de Ekynton there imprisoned by command of the council; as they have mainperned in chancery under a pain of 100l. to have him before the king and council upon warning received, ready to answer touching what shall be laid against him, and for his peaceable behaviour toward the king and people.
